Amateur boxing on the BBC

The BBC will bring you live action from the ABA boxing finals at Bethnal Green's famous York Hall venue.

The event is a complete sell out and our cameras will be there for an evening of top-class boxing.

With the Beijing Olympics just around the corner, it's certainly a big year for amatuer boxing - will there be a potential Amir Khan or Audley Harrison among the fighters at the ABA finals?

Ronald McIntosh presents the action, with Jim Neilly and Richie Woodhall commentating.

I presume Haye's "big announcement" is that he has signed for Golden Boy Promotions. That or he's engaged to a swan, one of the two.

Really i hadn't heard that (about golden boy, oviously the swan news is common knowledge now)
It's been doin my brains in all day, that's dissapointing really I was hoping he was gonna be doing something cool like giving up boxing to become a buddhist monk, or a cab driver.

Haye held talks with Golden Boy a few weeks back and there was quite a bit of speculation about it, but it might not be that; this is David Haye remember, no one knows whats going on in his head so the Buddist monk idea cannot be ruled out.

I thought the cabbie one was a good idea for him.
Oh i didn't know that, well good luck to him i suppose, can't say i'm that fussed about him really, great cruiser but i'm not sure he's gonna be as good a heayweight as he makes out he is.
Calling Wlad out like that was a bit, stupid, like he's gonna fight Haye like that, lol
