i watched sherks cardio workout on the ufc website today and was very impressed. his workout is incredible. as much as i hate his fighting style(ground and hug) he looks so strong and could probably go 10 rounds. i think thats his biggest asset, his strength and cardio. i hope bj has been working hard and is really motivated cause i think this will be the best sherk we've seen. i want bj to win via ko or choke. who do you see winning. how and why...

I definitely see Sherk winning this fight. I know BJ is called "The Prodigy," but when I look at his fights and his 12 - 4 - 1 record, I'm not impressed to say the least. He beat Matt Hughes in a pretty decent fashion, but most of his other wins aren't over the big names. Granted Sherk has 30+ wins against some major competitors, in which he completely dominated, I'm going to have to give the win to Sean Sherk via TKO or Submission. The fight will not go the distance.

i agree with you on never watching sherk fight again, especially if he doesnt put on a good show. we have all seen him in his last few fights taking people down but not finishing. that to me sucks to watch. the florian fight was painful, as well as the franca fight. also, the steroid issue kind of bothers me as well

its a simple fight in my eyes- bj has tons and tons of more skills than sherk in every aspect of the fight game except for cardio! if and when penn gasses he loses, simple as that

for me it's like this.. bj has better stand up.. and on the ground sherk is hardly a finisher.. i dont see too many people being able to stay on the floor for 25 minutes with bj penn and not be submitted..

Penn has fought much better competition than Sherk. Both Hughes and GSP whooped Sherk's ass and BJ did fairly well against them. Schooled GSP on the stand up and ground until he gassed out. Was winning against Huges until he gassed out.

On second thought, I hope BJ doesn't "get gassed out" against Sherk........ No way! he will win this one for sure.

sherk's best win to me is beating kenny florian by lay and pray, i think, though, all the muscle sharks wins are by lay and pray. BJ penn is better in the stand up and better on the ground than sherk. i think penn will win by sub, a choke of some kind - RNC, guillotine, although if he gasses out sherk could squeak out another lay and pray win, but BJ is motivated for this fight and i think he'll take training seriously. sherk loves training and lifting weights, i'm not so sure he likes fighting
