there is no real glass jaw syndrome. sometimes, it comes down to a punch you didn't see, or not being fully prepared, or running out of adrenaline, or not having that fighter mentality.

it has many variables and is not as simple as some seem to make it. one thing i was observing at our tournament a month ago was how people reacting to punches. of course i notice this everytime i watch boxing. but it is much different when u are watching people who have completely different punch training and methods.

Some people get knocked out properly, by this I meant properly KO'd, this ranges from their legs going, dizziness etc. to full blown unconsciousness. That's got nothing to do with the idea of a 'glass jaw' because that's about the punch that was delivered. People with glass jaws that get KO'd are the other sort of KO, where they hit the canvas and just don't get up, then seem to be pretty much fine when the 10 count is over, these weren't knocked unconscious, they were just down for the count, probably having just received a good clean shots and don't have that spirit to just get back up.

I think where the idea of a 'glass jaw' really exists is how people react to getting punched, some people take punches like water off a duck's back, some really let even jabs bother them. It's about being able to take those punches and being ok with it and continuing to box.

Well im super featherwieght/junior lightwieght at the moment im 129lbs been boxing for 4months but took 1 month of and its been killing me lol but im starting to get my fitness back.

Pretty sure "glass jaw" just means that you can't take a good punch. Guys only fight with their mouths open if they are newbs, exhausted, or have an issue with their nose, that's about it. A clean, hard shot to an open or closed jaw will knock most people out. The difference is, if your jaw is open it will be broken.
