Neither. Hull finished above Watford in the league, so were better over the course of the season. Carlisle were only above Leeds cos we had a 15 point defecit, plus they only had a 1 goal lead going into the second leg.

I fail to see the point at which either of these teams "threw it away"?

I don't know about Watford, but Carlisle at one point were 8 points above us at the beginning of last month. We then finished a fair few points above them to seal an automatic spot. I'd say they well and truly fluffed up.

at one point Carlisle were around 9 points clear of Forrest and 5 above Doncaster with like 7 to play, watfotd were flying 1 win in 8 and still made the playoffs that's how bad they fluffed it aswell,

I mean overall season, both teams basically ****ed it right up, bit of stage fright

with around 8 Games to go Carlisle were 2 points above Leeds if Leeds hadnt even been deducted that 15, we blew it well n truly, carlisle had a chance of even winning the league if they beat Swansea, they drew and still absolutely ****ed up, shocking
