When we love we cannot hate; when we hate we cannot love. I was talking to some people at a coffee joint last night debating this issue of coexistence, or lack there of with them. I believe that if you have true love in your heart then it is harder for you to hate than someone who does not have true love in their heart. Hate is hatred, it is the fire that burns the rose. You cannot light a beautiful flower on fire and expect the flames not to damage the flower. There is coexistence for a moment where there is both the flower and the flames, but quickly there after the flames take over and the beauty is dead.
I understand that you may argue that the coexistence can be created, where love and hate are both burning at the same time very strongly. This is acceptable if the hate is directed to the fear of losing your love. (Example: you fear that the robber might take the life of your wife, so you hate the robber). I’m talking about a love and hate relationship where they ARE NOT linked. Hate directed in other directions from your love. I feel that that coexistence is impossible, while others feel that it is possible.
What’s your view on this? (Note my coexistence of love and hate are not linked to each other. They simply exist in completely different areas of the person at hand.)
