25 years old and had a great showing during the 2003-04 Champions league campaign under Mourinho. a 6ft right back, had a very consistent season this year with porto but I think they over paid for him, but then again which footballer now a days isn't over priced?

RIZOOM you gonna keep this updated throughout the transfer window? Would be great.

With mega rich clubs like Chelsea, they will always pay over the odds cos the club selling the player know that they will pay more than the going rate. Someone like Everton/Newcastle/Villa etc. would have been charged a lot less for him.

As for players being over priced, I'll sit on thje fence on that one. But football is BIG buisness, and the players are the main commodity.

Aparently United were close to signing him, but he decided to go to Chelsea because they were paying double the £40,000 a week he'd be on at United.

I don't want any English players to go abroad, means won't see them week in weak out. Not too bothered about Sol, although I think he should stay at Pompey If harry wants him of course.

Crouch to go to a top 5-10 team and really show the prem what he can. WOuld make the teams a lot more even with the top four imo if someone had crouchy.

I feel sorry for Liverpool fans but they should know that sometimes there is a bigger fish. Try being West Ham or Crewe or recently plymouth and colchester where you continually develop good players to have them poached by clubs one spending level above.

I hope Torres stays at 'pool but thats football, too much money these days. Liverpool have benefitted more than most other clubs.

Torres had a great season but for him or any other player in the world to be miles better than Ronaldo will require a dramatic dip in form by the Portuguese or the use of performance enhancing drugs by the others.

The 30-year-old, who was not offered a new deal by Coventry, is set to link up again with Seagulls boss Micky Adams, the former Sky Blues manager.

Adams told BBC Southern Counties Radio: "He is a leader on the pitch. The influence he will have, particularly on our youngsters, will be invaluable."

Robert Earnshaw completes Nottingham Forest switch

Nottingham Forest have completed the signing of Robert Earnshaw from Derby County for £2.65million. The Welsh international has signed a three-year contract at the City Ground with the Coca Cola Championship newcomers, who secured automatic promotion after finishing second in League One, and becomes manager Colin Calderwood's first signing of the summer.

The 27-year-old striker scored just two goals in 25 appearances for the Rams last season after his arrival from Norwich.

He said: "It has taken a few weeks but now everything is sorted I can't wait for the start of the season. Promotion for Forest was huge and hopefully we can keep the exciting times going. Forest have got a young squad who want to do well and that goes a long way.”

Earnshaw expressed his disappointment at the lack of chances he had at Derby.

He said: “I’m just looking at it as a chapter closed. I will learn from it and am looking forward to getting back to playing football.”

Who has probably been massively overhyped. He'll be at Wolves by the end of the year.

Really? Cause i've just watched some clips of him on youtube and i ain't seen nothing that suggest a £5m transfer fee.

He might be the real deal for all i know, but he plays kick about in the youth set-up in Cardiff and a couple of games in the championship ain't much to go on, Not at that price anyways.

Aston Villa need a RB, do you think they will sign Stephen Carr?

Not if they are after a good right back they won't!

Keane was a rip off but it ain't my money so I won't complain! Barry is ****, please NO! Silva would be better. If Alonso goes, we don't need to overcrowd middle of park again. Ask Sissoko. Even kids like Plessis and Lucas are better than the bag if **** Barry.

I heard it all before, remember how they said the great keiron Dyer can play in any position as an outfield player? he can't even play in one! **** cunt.

The deal of the summer has to be Riera. he tore Brown a new one and made him poop his pants, and made Vidic lose his cool. he will rape more defences soon enough. Better than **** Nani at half the price!!!
