Guy's,

Who do you think, obviously for me its been Fernando Torres, 33 goals in a debut season and breaks the Van Nistelrooy record. However he cost a few quid but teams have spent big in the past and the players just haven't done it.

Who's been the best buy this season?

Torres has been outstanding but he did cost ****ing shed loads.

Elano has been a great buy for us.

For value for money I'd go with Roque Santa Cruz.

Torres for me. Then either Tevez or Santa Cruz.

Torres was obviously worth the money. He could have been like Shevchenko. 30mil for **** all.

Santa Cruz for me. Value for money, we'll see if he can do it again next season as McCarthy had a mare last season.

Torres was amazing as well though.

Torres, he always had the potential but has completely shown it this season, both in the Premiership and in Europe.

Like Tuggers has said bigger money has been spent with poor results.

Darren Bent, Andriy Shevchencko, Veron etc etc.

Yep, I would have Santa Cruz right after Torres, superb buy and great player.

Id go for Torres performance-wise, 33 goals, highest ever scoring foreign player in a debut season. Equaling club record of scoring in consecutive home games. 3 hat-tricks. First Liverpool player to score 20 leauge goals since Fowler in mid 90's (Owen never hit 20 in the leauge).

Bargain-wise id say Santa Cruz, didnt he only cost in the region of 3-4 million.

Worst buy id say(off the top of my head) Darren Bent for Spurs, i thought he would do well at Spurs (altough Spurs have 2 great strikers in Keane and Berbatov).

Torres. As well as scoring lots of goals, he makes a lot and allows Liverpool to play much more expansive football. Especially when playing with Gerrard and Babel.

Goal for pound; it has got to be Rocky.

Best buy is undoubtedly Torres though. Even though he helped Liverpool achieve **** all he has shown how lethal he can be, and that Liverpool should be challenging for more. Also has taken some of the burden of Stevie G.

After that I'd probably say Tevez.

Got to be Rocky in terms of value for money and Tevez considering he is on loan, Torres 3rd.

Santa Cruz, easily.

I don't know why Eduardo has made it into the poll.

Personal opinion, I thought he had done well before his injury, just dont vote for him.

Petrov at Man City was a good buy.

Bale would have made that list if he'd stayed fit for us, can't wait to have back to full fitness next season.

Whats happened to Alan Smith Riz? before he went to Man U he was one of most promising young forwards around, they shipped him into midfield and he has never been the same IMO?

He has been linked to Rangers for £5m. The guy has passion and works for every ball, but he just isn't doing what's meant of him.

Torres or Bakary Sagna

Torres easily. He may have cost a lot, but Liverpool would have lost a lot more in revenue without him, and probably would've finished 5th and never got to Champions League Semi-final.

Bakary Sagna

I agree, although I don't like his hair much at all.

I've gone for Torres, closely followed by Santa Cruz.
£30M is a lot but he's certainly lived up to the hype, in his first season and at his age, scored 3 hat tricks aswell.

We paid 24mil for him, still obviously a huge sum but it wasn't 30mil, although I would have happily paid 30mil knowing what I know now.

Oops I just had £30 mill goin through my head, it seems to be the bench mark for transfers nowadays.

Some of the tabloids say 30mil as well but it wasn't. Liverpool have posted the figures themselves.
