I caught the Ian Freeman fight, glad he rolled back the years, I love the Machine.

I turned down a free ticket actually cos I didn't have anyone to go with, wish I'd gone now :(

yep, I had a chat with him in Newcastle when the UFC came to town, not into the sport but went along to the weigh-in with my pal, and bumped into him didn't know who he was, we had a chat about boxing and of course Newcastle United, my mate came back with the beers and said did you know who that was, I said just some UFC bloke I bumped into, what a top bloke, not a tosser like some sport stars.

yeah he's absolutely quality, great sense of humour.

i do thai boxing and I was with 7 of my mates from my gym, and the one lad who's 19 said

"hey michael you gonna be around in 5 years? cus im coming for ya!" and bisping said "why wait 5 years lets get it on now"

haha and he started shadow boxing, top bloke. its not often you see sports people take time out like that with the fans, i mean half the time he left his poor missus on her own whilst he was signing things, chatting

yeah freeman was immense. Cant believe how strong the guy is, he was sweeping cahun off the floor using his body strength and reversing the position, unbelievable.

i also had a quick chat with ross pointon, the geezer who was on the ultimate fighter. he seemed cool but not as approachable as bisping

Ian Freeman is not a nice bloke, he is a right toss pot, states he is the hardest man in the country, in the North east he is not well liked at all.

Yeah Bisping is a nice man I have spoke to him twice in the Asda. He trains in Widnes and always say Hi when I see him.

he's already a big name in the UFC, just moved down a division. in his last fight he tore the guy a new ass hole. his knees and strikes are awesome

i think he'll become a champ before the end of the year

There was talk of Paul Cahoon getting a 3 fight deal from the UFC if he'd have won last night. Freeman was in excellent shape to be fair & a deserved winner.

I remember seeing a documentary on 'The Machine' when MMA was little known in this country & he was fighting in Holland. To be fair he came accross like a prick, but in all the Cage Rage events he's come accross really well.

Was that the wan where he was fighting a big black guy called the python and he got his ass kicked, his head was burst open, and he was on the tv shouting about how he was the only man from britian to have the balls to get in the cage and was having ago at the viewers, if so i agree he did come across as a prick.

Yeah that's the one, like he took it out on the viewers cos he'd just had his arse handed to him.

hmm im not so sure, anderson silva was being thoroughly out-fought by jim carey, sorry i mean rich franklin haha when they first met (or i seem to remember it that way)

obviously very dangerous striking with silva but bisping has great striking himself and what looks to be a very good chin. I think it would be a great fight

I think you have it mistaken bud. Franklin got leathered half to death in the first round in that fight against Silva. Silva totally ripped him apart.

Love the Jim Carey tho, not heard that before :)

was it the rematch im thinking of then? I remember seeing a piece with franklin and he was saying that he had things under control until he got caught

regardless I hope bisping gets his shot, think it would be a good fight
