View Full Version : Which team has the most dilusional/worst fans
-CANE- 05-09-2008, 01:41 PM I used to go on BBC football forums, and there were a few teams that their fans were totally dilusional, and if you said anything negative about their team then they would report you or attack you big time even if you were being objective and honest.
Sorry Riz, but I always found Newcastle fans to be some of the worst.
Nicky_Hatton 05-09-2008, 01:47 PM I always found a lot of Liverpool fans to be, especially on that bbc 606. I once had an account there but you can't get a decent debate there between real fans.
col Blake 05-09-2008, 01:49 PM Is it me or isNewcastle the last game on match of the day every ****ing week.
DURAN_IS_GOD 05-09-2008, 01:52 PM newcastle fans and its not even a debate.....
they have zero right to be successful but many (not all) seem to think they are hard done by
Dynamite Kid 05-09-2008, 01:56 PM i cant say Spuds cause Hurricane is my mate & i dont wanna sound all bitter like these Newcastle fans
id plump for Rizoom and his toon army
chrismart83 05-09-2008, 01:57 PM Iv always found Everton fans very dilusional. But maybe im biased as im a red.

Maybs.

Don Gorgon 05-09-2008, 01:58 PM Us (Spurs) and the Geordies. I don't mind admitting some of our fans have delusions of grandeur.
As for Newcastle, well. Nuff sed.
col Blake 05-09-2008, 02:04 PM A lot of Toon bashing on hear tonight.
Worst fans scousers, turning over players houses when the reds are away from home.

to be fair mate rizoom has been predicting newcastle to finish above every team you care to mention, you're gonna win the fa cup and possibly even the league.... what you expect??!!

Your right Don, most of our fans make me shudder, liverpool fans get upset easily as do everton and sunderland fans. chelsea fans and arsenal were all obnoxious twats. But that was bbc 606 and on here it seems we can have a bit of banter, but most are all realistic and honest.

606 is pretty bad, I only really look at the boxing page on that. It's a good laugh but the format of the page is p*ss poor.
West Ham fans are pretty bad as well, they harp on and on about their golden generation (Rio, Lamps et al) and winning the World Cup. I mean come on? 1966 FFS!
col Blake 05-09-2008, 02:31 PM West Ham are only in the prem league becasue Trevor Brooking pulled so strings in the FC to stop them getting points knocked off them last season for the Argie players thing, cheating twats.
Chunk. 05-09-2008, 02:31 PM Newcastle - Nuff said.
My lot are no better mind. Keano will lead us to Europe this season:ugh: we were lucky to stay up in the end.
mickeyb 05-09-2008, 03:00 PM the majority of England fans!!!
don't you dare try and disagree

Very true im sad to admit. Just like when im being dillsional when i believe stoke will clinch a champions league place next season :ugh:

dilusional - Yes
worst - nah
They're fickle and the same goes for Chelsea.
Every Wednesday fan I know apart from me mate Fudge are ****ing delusional. One of them claimed the other day that they are a bigger club than Everton.
Patty Tanager 05-09-2008, 04:47 PM Without a shadow of a doubt its Newcastle. I went to the Blackburn-Newcastle game last November and boy are some of the things you hear there are outrageous.
They must of been expecting total football or something after about 20 minutes they were all booing, moaning and whinging when a ball was hit long, comical stuff (So it was). "The ****ing ****e man" thats all you could hear :lol1:.
Patty Tanager 05-09-2008, 04:48 PM You got to love City fans you really have. Every august its all so optimistic, Champions League this year, by Christmas its all doom and gloom.
OldSkool 05-09-2008, 04:54 PM to be fair mate rizoom has been predicting newcastle to finish above every team you care to mention, you're gonna win the fa cup and possibly even the league.... what you expect??!!
lol i think rizoom was jst trying to wind every cunt up. its obviously worked.
i think the newcastle bashing is terrible though. i mean we're a passionate bunch and lets face it we deserve to win something. just havent found the right combination yet.
there's no ****ing way you can call us the worst fans neither. at least we stand by our team week in week out. have ya seen how empty boro's stadium always is. now thats what ya call bad fans - the ones that dont even turn up or get behind their team.
i think a reasonable aim for next season is 7th/8th however mid table seems likely to me unless we bring some quality in over the summer.
Pot Noodle 05-09-2008, 05:03 PM There are some right idiots for fans out there, I once heard a Sunderland fan say they were the biggest club and had the largest support in the whole country.
Being a Macc fan, Darlington supporters have said every year that they're going to go up, after a few good results in pre season friendlies etc. In fact in a few months time you'll hear some right comical lines off football supporters getting carried away with a few results.

dont get me started on darlo scum. im from hartlepool origonally so as you can imagine we dont get along so well. beating them 3 nil at the end of last season was particularly sweet. me and me mate drove through and there was a riot in the street outside the stadium. good times lol
Pot Noodle 05-09-2008, 05:18 PM To be fair to the Darlo fan that was speaking to me on the 1st game of last season I was really humbled after the game. Speaking to him in the bar before hand he was going on about these pre season friendlies, how they beat this Middlebrough XI. How they were going up, and he said to me, don't be ashamed if you lose 3 or 4 nil today, we're going up!
Safe to say we got dicked 4-0, we were ****e last season though!

i know what your saying but in my experience he's not the only toon fan with these disillusions!!
i think he actually thinks they'll finish top 6 which wont happen imo.
why does being passionate supporters mean a club deserves to win something? lots of teams have passionate support mate but it doesn't give you a right to win things
Jolly Roger 05-09-2008, 05:42 PM Without reading the thread i know alot of people are mentioning Newcastle. personally i don't think it has any basis in reality, the media churn out the myths and cliches every week about "loyal fans", "they think they will finish top 4", "they think they're a big club" etc etc etc. And everyone outside Newcastle see's and hears this and thinks this is the reality, that Newcastle fans are idiots. As someone who lives in Newcastle i don't think that is the case, infact i've always seen Newcastle fans as pessimistic and quite dour.
Jolly Roger 05-09-2008, 05:47 PM By the way, i was speaking generally, there are exceptions to what i say.
*cough*Rizoom*cough*
mickeyb 05-09-2008, 07:40 PM Every Wednesday fan I know apart from me mate Fudge are ****ing delusional. One of them claimed the other day that they are a bigger club than Everton.
I think you can start to **** off right now Joe me ol' cunt!! We know where you live and WE ARE A BIGGER CLUB THAN EVERTON!!
Tell Fudge, he's out of the club.
Every team but Newcastle.
Top four consist of Newcastle, Newcastle Reserves, Newcastle Juniors and Maybe, MAYBE! Man Utd.
We will do the triple next season, with out a shadow of a doubt.
Now if I'm going to be serious for a minute I would say Leeds. They still think they are in the Premier League. :lol1:
Mister Casbong 05-10-2008, 10:46 AM Liverpool by a 'cuntry' ****ing mile in every way possible.
The Monk 05-10-2008, 10:54 AM Birmingham City fans take the biscuit. A lot of my mates are ****ty fans and some of the rubbish they spew you would actually think they are a big club. Last time I checked all they have ever won is the Auto windscreens. Middleborough fans are terrible as well. They get on their teams back after about 3 minutes if they haven't scored.
Savino 05-10-2008, 12:14 PM For me it is Newcastle. They think they are a bigger club than they are. Liverpool fans talk ****e and you can't argue with you cos they never have a valid point and will just say we won it 5 times or that we are bitter.

Newcastle are the fifth-biggest club in the country. :ugh:
Tuggers1986 05-10-2008, 02:01 PM Arsenal fans. Does my head in how they piss and moan and come up with bull**** excuses everytime they lose. "The ref was biased", "It was too cold", "The grass was too long"!!
**** OFF!!
"SAME OLD ARSENAL................ALWAYS CHEATING"
Tuggers1986 05-10-2008, 02:03 PM Wigan fans are awesome!! We expect to win **** all, that way we're never let down :) haha
We're even ****ing made up when we get a draw  hahaha

The Iron Man 05-11-2008, 12:08 PM Gotta Be Newcastle Fans, They still think they are a big team and they havent won anything for like 60 years (apart from Division 1)

Newcastle won the fairs cup (UEFA cup) in 1969, so not quite 60 years ago numbnuts.

Have you ever been to a Newcastle game?? You gotta admit the atmosphere is amazing! I don't live anywhere near there and have a completely different accent but whenever I go to the games always have a great laugh with the geordies! Wicked set of fans with the most passion (though sometimes mislead) in the league! The fans only seem angry and disillusioned cos our board has been **** since Freddy ****in Sheppard!! Mistaske after Mistake firing the God Bobby Robson etc!! No wonder we are angry we haven't achieved more!!!

You forget the inter-toto cup we won with Glen Roeder!!!
The Iron Man 05-12-2008, 08:12 AM I didnt mean literally 60 years, figure of speech. Been just less than 40 years then. They do have great fans, but they are the most dilusional. Newcastle are no longer a Big Team!

yep your right on one thing matey tht Newcastle aren't a big team, but they are a big club.
The Iron Man 05-12-2008, 12:39 PM How are they a big club? They havent been successfull domestically for a long time.
Last 4 prem finishes : 12th, 13th, 17th, 14th.
Last Domestic Cup : Texaco Cup - 1975
FA Cup Wins - 6 - Latest 1955
League Cup Wins - 0
European Success
Anglo-Italian Cup - 1973
Inter-Cities Fairs Cup - 1969
Intertoto Cup - 2006
Not really signs of a big club!

In terms of turnover, which happens quite a lot on the pitch, crowd both home and away, Newcastle the best away supported team in the land.
But yes in terms of winning anything, then Forest, Ipswich Leeds Blackburn are bigger than most clubs in the prem if you look at it from another angle.
The Iron Man 05-12-2008, 01:53 PM A Big club has to have a mixture of both a large supporters base and Trophies/achievments.
