View Full Version : Fruits n vegies
jessesmit 05-09-2008, 12:20 PM In any diet or workout schedule. Does it harm to when ur in for a snack u grap an apple some carrots or a kiwi or anything like that? Or do you watch out when eating too much of it. Is there a limit or can you grab it whenever u feel like it.
Fidayin 05-09-2008, 01:13 PM Don't eat to much fruit when u are trying to loos weight, fruit contains lots of simple carbs which turns quickly into fat in ur body.
Tenacious 05-09-2008, 04:38 PM yea try to keep fruit consumption to a minimum if you want to lose weight but its good to eat it in the morning and after a work out.
PunchDrunk 05-09-2008, 04:50 PM Actually the supposedly simple carbs in fruit are not so simple. At least they don't turn to fat the way sugar and bread does.
Theoretically, you can eat too much of anything, but in practice, getting too much fruit is bordering on the impossible. In practice you can eat all the fruit you want, unless you're in the final 2-3 days of cutting weight for a fight (in which case you basically can't eat much of anything).
Summary: Fruit does not make you fat!

yes fruit contains simple carbs, go look it up. and a banana contains 90 calories so no you can't eat as much fruit as you want.
BrooklynBomber 05-09-2008, 05:03 PM No, no it would not.
Although some of the fruits and veggies are extremely high in fat, but then again you would not be able to eat them much, I am talking about all that exotic crap.
But as a rule of a thumb, fruits and veggies are good for a snack.
Much better then all that processed food.
However, I would advice to stick to green veggies the most.

Yeah, fruits do contain simple carbs, but somehow that stuff do not transfer into fat. Mainly because they are not starchy.
