hi guys i just start my amateur career and need to buy a proper head gear, can anyone advise me the best head gear available on the market

Mate if i was you, id just look on the internet and see wats avalible. You need sumthing that u feel comfortable in an thats in ur price range i suppose

The best headgear is the headgear that you are comfortable in.

In amateurs though, you need a specific kind of headgear, no?

my friend has started his amateur boxing career and his dad was a boxer, he and his dad both told me that top ten were the best

You all wear the same brand, colour style of headgear. That gets given when you arrive at the place. Just different sizes same with gloves. You don't choose.

Gloves yes, headgear no. Not even at the world championships.

They're reasonably well padded for a competition helmet. They're very light. They cover the eyebrows much better than other amateur helmets, without sacirificing your line of sight. They don't move around, or bother your when you're fighting. They're very soft on the inside, again, much more so than any other amateur headgear I've tried. Green Hill were the best competition head gear before, but they're no longer AIBA approved. Thankfully, the New Top Ten helmets are even better.

I'm pretty sure you can still use Green Hill for domestic competition, but internationally you can't.

I'm from Denmark.

I wear green hill...altho last night a visiting gym brought there boys down - all wearing top ten.

i noticed the cut of the front pad on the forehead and the shape of it gave alot more visability and periphieal (sp) vision.

Therefore.. i want one and suggest you get one too.

Naah, I don't fight anymore, I train fighters. One of my guys is going to the European Union championships in the middle of June, so we're working hard at the moment.

He's only 54 kg so I couldn't really hit him that much, so I clown around instead. :)

idk if i told u but i lost in da trials for the Mexican team olympics in da semifinals against Braulio Avila whos ranked and won at da pan americans and is ranked like 10 in the world which freakin bumm me out

Win or lose, that is pretty impressive. I think you posted a fight vid at one point, right? Best fighter in this forum by far ;)

thanks.... but it sucked i felt i should of beat him but he had so much experience he kept gettin me frustrated he beat me 14-10 i think if i member right...he was coming from winning the bronze medal from china in the Beijing Test Event.... i changed my style ima try uploading one of my fight to see if you can give me some pointers... I might go pro by the end of the year
