The GP is in August Prince 07-07-2003, 11:49 AM on the ug they are saying silva-saku is first round..but thats what dana white said and he says a lot of shit. Mr. Beelzebub 07-07-2003, 01:30 PM http://www.pridefc.com/img/pridegp/pridegp_1.jpg There going to be no brackets in this tournament. After the first round is over, all four winners are going to be matched up again. Pride is saying that this format will make a more interesting tourney. Big_Papa 07-07-2003, 02:48 PM sweet! The Ensanity 07-07-2003, 02:56 PM coo. Bluecifer 07-07-2003, 03:01 PM God I hope that Arona is matched up against Yoshida in the first round. That would free up so many other sweet matches. True...and I hope Yoshida wins...He is waaay more exciting than Arona...but that aint saying much, a sloth trying to sleep is more exciting than the Brazilian purerockfury 07-07-2003, 03:11 PM is this shit going to be just the first four fights or the whole grand prix cause that poster says opening rounds Mr. Beelzebub 07-07-2003, 03:38 PM This is going to be the opening round plus 3-4 heavyweight matches. Some of the rumors right now are: Nogueira vs. Cro-Cop And maybe the return of Vov. ** The final round is going to take place in November. purerockfury 07-07-2003, 04:52 PM that sucks i would rather it being the whole thing one show The Golden Bear 07-07-2003, 05:00 PM Originally posted by purerockfury that sucks i would rather it being the whole thing one show Is it legal to make a fighter fight that many fights in one night? VulgarTheClown 07-07-2003, 05:10 PM so with the re-matching up the winners will be pitted against another opponent by the choice of pride not by bracket purerockfury 07-07-2003, 05:30 PM yeah you can fight that manay times it's called a touny like the last grandprix you fight 3 matches Curly Howard 07-07-2003, 07:51 PM Originally posted by Blake Is it legal to make a fighter fight that many fights in one night? Not in the US purerockfury 07-07-2003, 09:01 PM what about Jeremy Jackson fighting at the king of the mountain touny he fought 3 times in one night in cali, and all the hoffman when he won his belt he fought 3 times in one night so i dont know what you all are talking about not legal in the us realkaps 07-07-2003, 09:31 PM It is legal on indian reservations, because technically that is not US property, that is why most of the smaller promotions are held on them. It is illegal for a person to fight more than one fight a night in the big cities like Las Vegas or anywhere where the SAC is involved.... The Golden Bear 07-08-2003, 11:15 AM Hey, i got an answer to my question. What about in Japan? what are the rules there? Mr. Beelzebub 07-08-2003, 01:40 PM I don't think there are any rules against it because in the second round (In November), the winners are fighting twice that night. vBulletin® v3.7.1, Copyright ©2000-2008, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
