Why does this so frequently occur in society? Why do we still insist on carrying on with something long after it's use has expired? When it's foundation ideals have been established in society and their outcome has been fulfilled?
Why does the Black Panthers still exist? Why do the feminists still exist? These were all nessesary congregations of people, who addressed an imbalance within the way society worked, over time through their hard efforts, equality has been in many ways attained.
One of the few movements which warrant it's existance still, is the homosexual movement, they have not yet attained social acceptance in a wide scale, much of society still sees them as freaks and real horrorshow. Their existance is still warranted.
But why do others exist? The fruits of their labour can be seen an appreciated in many many facets of society today, their goals have been largely realised and yet they still continue like they have a reason - have they never heard of the word "disband"? Why must they continue to construct and fabricate reasons as to why they should still be around when clearly, their purpose is outweighed by their pettiness?
It is because of purpose, purpose drive humanity, without purpose we would all be dead, without purpose we would walk the earth aimlessly to our doom. But me thinks that this self-importance is unwarranted and unproductive.
Just a thought - do I think this thread will get many replies? Probably not.
