I would like to know who your heros are. Not so much the people whom you think are cool....but rather the people who's actions and words have had major positive impact on your life.

Mine are broken up into several catagories:
1. Historical figures
2. Biblical figures
3. Celebrities and public figures
4. Those in my life

starting with historical figures, here are the ones that come to mind:

Martin Luther King- for obvious reasons. admire the stuggles he endured, his kind heart, and the changes he helped inact.

Ghandi- same as mlk. he endured a lot more **** though.

Alexander the Great- had pretty much conquered all of mesopotamia by the age of 19.

Abraham Lincoln- lived a life of failure. lost every election that he went up against except for the final presidency. during his losses he also managed to fail in business several times, have his 1st wife die, and go through a nervous breakdown. even when he did become president he faced some extremely tough decisions as the only president to have to truely deal with a divided country. immediately after his amazing victory he's shot dead as a reward.
now he could look back and see his personal life as a disaster but an entire nation has (and always will) praised him as being one of greatest and courageous heros of all time.

and finally every single soldier, firefighter, and law enforcement officer who's lost their lives in the fight for freedom, justice, and public safety- regardless of when, where, or how it happend.

i appreciate all of those who have fought/will fight to give us the freedom we have now.

i don't have any historical, biblical, or celebrity heroes.

Biblical figures-

every single figure in the Bible has characteristics, words, and actions that have helped shape my life in a positive way. But here the biggest ones:

Jesus Christ- besides laying his very life for the sake of mankind...
he also healed, encouraged, and inspired in a manner that no other has ever achieved. not to mention he lived a perfect life and could out-debate all that tried disproving him.

Paul- besides Jesus, he endured the most suffering out of any figure in the Bible for the sake of spreading the word. the cool thing about Paul is that he was a previous sinner and admitted to temptations. he wasn't perfect but provides an excellent role model because of the fact. plus he had quite a temper too :)

Solomon- was the only biblical figure to ever have God come to him and OFFER anything to him that he wanted. Solomon admitted that power, money, and fame would be nice but instead asked for the ability to lead a nation with justice and integrity that would be right in God's eyes.
because of his upright request God granted him the ability. with that ability he lead israel so well that he was given more wisdom, riches, fame, power, and respect than any other leader in history.

Job- had everything. then God allowed the devil to take away his fortune, family, and health in a matter of days. Job maintains his integrety thoughout more pain then anyone could ever imagine- yet is still open about the suffering that he must endure. he keeps his faith and in the end is rewarded with 10X of great a life then he had.

Bible:
Daniel-who I was named after, a man of honor and extreme morals, never turned his back on God even when faced with death.
Jesus-what more do I say...

Celebrities:
For a long time I've really admired Randy Couture, W Silva, Sakuraba, Henderson and Nogueira for their abilities, skill, heart and attitude for the sport, in the ring and out.

Family-
My late Grandpa-I carry his traits, his habits, attitude, name (middle and last)and even physical build. I really looked up to him growing up.

Celebs, etc-

Paul Newman- awesome actor, made tons of money and used it to raise over $400 million for various charities. not to mention that he's kept the same wife throughout it all.

Max Calvera- one of the only artists to express brutality and integrity in such a perfect fasion.

Mike Muir- his lyrics have helped shaped my hard, yet straight-up outlook on a lot of situations. this man is so deep that he's crawled back to the surface.

i know there's more but i just can't think of any right now.

Personnal-

My mother- raised me as a single parent. also raised my cousin because her parents were deadbeats. all the while she worked full time, went to school full time, and still managed to spend tons of time with us.
from what i hear is that we qualified for welfare but she refused to be a part of that. she sacrificed her entire life for me.

Grandpa- basically taught the entire family how to work hard and earn an honest living. we kick ass. he's probably the most admirable person whom i know.

Rick Warren- he's the pastor of my church. it's the fastest growing church in the history of the world. rick's method isn't to shove the Bible down your throat....but rather use it to help you with your everyday life.
he's very funny, warm-hearted, knowledgable, straight-up and hard working.

Hojak- this muther****er has gone through some dirt. he's got a good head and strives everyday to make a good life for him and his daughter. doesn't give up, always goes for the best, and has very good family values.
don't give up bro. it makes sense in the end.

Allison- seen some **** too. knows how to, not only press on, but better herself further in every step of doing so. i know she thinks that i'm a great guy but i dunno if she realizes how much she's taught me too.

Napolitano familiy- this is chris (napol) and his family. they've always been there for me and have taught me how to always take care of those who are true to you but to take out those whom will decieve you.
i never had a father in my life and the napolitanos have acted as a very admirable father figure to me for the last 11 years.
