In the southern united states we got these piles of dirt in the ground, or they look like piles of dirt....they are actually fire ant nests. If you step on one, they SWARM out and will be on you in a second. REally they move amazingly fast. Anyways, they have really nasty stinging poisonous bites. A few bites is no big deal unless you are allergic. But 20 or 30 bites, that can hurt ya. My uncle was laid up for a few days because he got bit by like 50 of em. Swelled up his leg like a watermelon.

you are so lucky to never have experienced fire ants. they are really small and they can kill a child if the child sits on the nest. it has happened. they are slowly making thier way north as well. so they are becomming tolerant of cold weather. i can ship you a few if you would like to start a colony. i could get the queen.

Yeah, I deal with those little suckers every day. When I first moved down here over 6 years ago I got bit all the time by them. I think I built up an immunity to them because I don't react anymore when they bite me. Most people that get bit develop a white puss filled sore that resembles a ready to pop zit.

yeah they really suck. i hate it when ya get bit like a few times then later on when your trying to be all cool by the pool and you have those sores on yer leg or something and folks are looking at you funny.

I remember once I disabled a kitten by breaking it's legs and then I dropped it on the fire ants nest, and watched them kill it. My hands were clean of the kittens bloods. It was the ants what did it, not me...Don't talk to me like I'm some kind of cruel guy.

I think I saw the same special on dixcovery about killer ants. It's amazing how freeging organized and disciplined they are. They're freeging smart! Saifu ants of south africa are the deadliest. They have already killed humans. I say one, I mean JUST ONE kill a bee and he dragged it himself to the nest. They were known to eat ANYTHING from poisonous snakes and catrepillars, to bees, hornets, even horses. HORSES!!

Are you for real!?! You ain't cruel, you just downright evil! Why in the heck would you cripple a kitten then feed it to fire ants? And you said it's not on your hands?!? It's like shotting aguy and blaming it on the gun.
