jberg 05-04-2008, 07:00 PM omfg zelenoff was so ****
i could have fought better (and ive been training 2 months). his footwork and stance was ****ing hilarious
he got served
Clegg 05-04-2008, 07:39 PM So it seems that Charlie was a real person being serious the whole time. Not an alt, not an actor, but a person who actually believed that stuff.
Wow.
fraidycat 05-04-2008, 07:42 PM No ****. He was so Goddamned glove-shy I'm surprised he didn't flinch himself unconscious.
On the one hand, props for showing up for the fight. That took some balls.
On the other hand, his own douchebaggery nearly got him killed. I say he's lucky to have walked away from it. Here's hoping he considers it a lesson learned and takes up another line of work. :beerchug:
dfwtx 05-04-2008, 07:44 PM oh.my.god. not only was he ****, he cried like a ****ing baby and got caught in the ropes, thanks for posting the vid though, i hope charlie goes to work at a gas station or something
sterling 05-04-2008, 07:51 PM lool that isnt even worthy of a sparring session lol **** cunts about pro.

fraidycat 05-04-2008, 08:01 PM Charlie trained in a gym where they don't allow contact sparring. He took one -- one -- solid hit to the face and the fight was pretty much over at that point. The first time I caught one like that I cried, too. But I was brand-new to boxing. Charlie has never taken a punch that hard in a boxing match or sparring, you could tell by watching him. He was in shock.
It's what I was talking about in another thread, I believe with BStrege (who, interestingly, has called out both Zelenoff and Hartley :nonono: ) about how boxing is so damned much more than skills and hitting the bag. It's having it in you to keep going after a punch like that -- TAKING punches like that and keeping your game on is as fundamental to the sport as morning roadwork. That's toughness. That's heart. You can't learn that on a heavybag no matter how hard you hit it -- or, in Charlie's case, how hard it hits back. :owned:

You know what the funny thing is i thought charlie wud counter andrew all day because andrew is so open to them but it was the other way round lol.
..David.. 05-04-2008, 09:02 PM who are this guys ? i ve heard so much about this fight on these forums hahaha so i am starting to wonder who are they
and why the **** are they fighting for a belt, my respect goes to them because they are boxers but, i ve got to say they suck big time, i am guessing they didnt have any amateur career whatsoever, but well entretaining fight at least.
Salty 05-04-2008, 10:30 PM The guy who won had a record of 1-13 going in, at least you know he could take a punch.

Charlie Zelenoff used to post on this board under the user name "White Hope." You can do a search to get up to speed; it's pretty entertaining stuff. There was considerable speculation on these boards that White Hope was someone's alt, or that Charlie was a prankster putting us all on.
jberg 05-05-2008, 04:35 AM yeah i have to say it was clear hed never been in a fight
fraidycat 05-05-2008, 10:29 AM Since I found the file before the rest of y'all, all my points to someone who makes me a GIF of the punch at 1:38-1:39.
EDIT: If you could do a longer one of 2:28-2:36 where Kid Z gets knocked out of the ring, that would be good, as well.
mgkirkpatrick 05-05-2008, 12:34 PM wow. definitely a funny fight.
if hartley isnt inbred i dont know who is.
lmao charlie spits out the mouthpiece and quits in the first round without getting hit by a punch and hartley tells him 'he's got heart'
****ing hell glad that whole saga is over.

someonwe has it up in non stop boxing
JC Warrior 05-06-2008, 02:40 AM Did he tell Charlie "You've got heart" at the end of that!?! Charlie was like Andrew Golota minus the skills and ferocity :(
MikeBrew328 05-06-2008, 11:12 PM if this was amateur boxing, the score would be 0-0 lol i dont think i saw one clean shot that whole 1:30 of the fight. To say they looked like amateurs would be a disgrace to amateur boxing. Let alone pro?
DA1CATAS 05-06-2008, 11:49 PM I can't beliove theirare pros out there like this around my weight class....
You have got to be the worst boxer alive to lose to that hartley guy.
..David.. 05-07-2008, 12:35 AM ahahahaha yeah that comes to show that having a professional license doesnt mean a thing
punchDrUnK MONK 05-07-2008, 09:42 PM i cant believe ive watched this like 12 times... im ashamed of myself..

"guess ill be 11-1"
hahaha, im glad he didnt lose his ****yness cuz i wanna see this guy in the ring and on youtube more lololol, funniest **** ever.
kayjay 05-07-2008, 09:45 PM Is it possible to grow balls?
I mean, he got hit once and cried and went home. Is it possible that next time he fights back?
fraidycat 05-07-2008, 11:01 PM Is it possible to grow balls?

I did. I doubt he has the guts, though. From watching him, it's obvious he's never actually worked at this sport. I don't think he has the faintest idea what's involved to get good at boxing. And I think that once he does find out, he'll drop this sport immediately.
Chuckles wants to call himself a boxer without actually doing any work. He wants to brag about training with big-shot trainers, when he's never so much as learned how to throw a proper jab. He wants to shoot off his mouth about "three years of training, yo," when he clearly has never even learned rudimentary footwork. He wants to crow about "backing up heavyweights" when he's never sparred full-contact. Now he wants to be 11-1. Whatever.
He's an insult to anyone who trains his ass off.
..David.. 05-07-2008, 11:08 PM i totally agree with you fridaycat, boxing its all about hard training and discipline, that fight its just a joke, this will make many ppl think that being a pro boxer its not hard and that anyone can box, which its just offensive to the people that really put their lives in the ring.
still i have to admit its funny its like watching those americas funniest videos, but that is NOT boxing.
