Lewis said he accepts to fight Vitali again if an independent doctor gives his ok (after checking Vitali) for the fight. Vitali said he was checked by diverse doctors who have said that everything is ok. So the date for the rematch maybe the December 6th!!

Too ****ing sweet. Lewis was a dick afte the fight so this is probably a guilt reaction to that. Should be good ****, Vitali's gotta be a little more defensive though. I think he can win, but w/ that paper thin skin he's gonna have trouble. Go Vitali!

Lennox, Vitali on course for rematch!

Lennox Lewis and Vitali Klitschko appear headed towards a December 6 rematch after the two super-sized heavyweights both told the media they wanted to fight each other. Lewis said he prefers a rematch against Klitschko rather than a bout against pound-for-pound king and WBA heavyweight titlist Roy Jones, Jr. Before committing himself, however, the world heavyweight champion said today he wants to have a doctor of his choosing examine the cuts on Klitschko's face to determine whether December 6, the date being held by HBO for the rematch, is realistic for Klitschko. "We want our own independent doctor going in there to check the status of the eye to see if he will really be available," said Lewis. Klitschko was happy with Lewis' announcement and quickly agreed to be examined by one of Lewis' doctors.

While making clear that Roy Jones was not his first choice, Lewis refused to rule out such a bout. "Me and Roy have talked and I am keeping my options open, but I definitely want a rematch with Vitali," said Lewis. If Lewis gets his first choice, Jones could find himself in the unusual position of being the odd man out. Having failed to secure a bout against Evander Holyfield, Jones is in danger of being left without a super fight for the rest of the year if Lewis and Klitschko fought again. Jones, a crafty businessman, still has some cards left to play and he has not given up on enticing Lewis to fight him. Through promoter Murad Muhammad, Jones offered Lewis $25 million to fight him instead of Klitschko

While Jones tries to get the upper hand, Klitschko couldn't be happier with Lewis' announcement and quickly agreed to be examined by one of Lewis' doctors. "I have no problem having an independent doctor check out the cuts, if that is what Lewis wants. I have already been to two independent doctors, in Los Angeles and in Germany, and both said there is not a problem and that I can fight before end of year. I can begin sparring in about 90 days," said the 6'8" challenger in a statement released on the heels of Lewis' remarks.

After six rounds of spirited though sloppy boxing, Klitschko was declared the loser by technical knockout due severe cuts around his left eye. However, he was leading four rounds to two on all three official scorecards, a score Leis thinks sjhould be reversed. "He definitely won the first two rounds," said the champion, "but I was leading in the next four and he wouldn't have made it past the next two," said the champion. "The judges were biased and he was lucky they stopped the fight because he would have been knocked out. That's why I don't mind a rematch," said Lewis.

Klitschko disagreed with Lewis' assessment of the bout. "What you call it in United States? Trash talk? I do not understand why Lewis always says he would have knocked me out in the next round (of the first fight)," he said. "Before we fight, he told everybody that he was going to knock me out inside five rounds and that I would not be problem. Then after the fight, he makes excuses, saying he did not have enough time to prepare for me. I was at the same disadvantage as him. At least Lewis knows his fight is 12 rounds. I was preparing for a 10-rounder."

Klitschko will remain in Germany for a few more days with his wife, Natalie, and two children, before heading to Kiev, in the Ukraine Republic, to visit his parents. Then he will return to Germany to help Wladimir prepare for his Aug. 30 fight against an opponent to be announced in Munich.

Lewis will kill him in a rematch. Like Lewis said on the radio today. One klit for breakfast, one klit for lunch.

I really think it would take a miracle for RJJR to beat Lewis. He's just giving up to much weight and reach. His only hope would be to hit and run and try to win a decision.

Jones has to make up a HUGE weight advantage, reach, and hes givging up around 6-8 inches. I just don't see it happening, but RJJ is great boxer, but just dont see it.

Theres an article on *********.com about RJJ and Lewis

Lewis - Klitschko

Klitschko, would have beat Lewis, if not for that bad cut. I think he will do even better this next time around. Lewis is a major ******* and shouldn't have been talking all that **** after the fight. Nor do I think they should have stopped the fight - if the fighter is clear headed then mop up the blood and keep going. The cut will still heal after the fight is over.

That was by far the best heavyweight fight in like 10 years.

Klitschko has a great deal of heart, and I can't wait to see him beat Lewis in the ring again.
