Wes Brown was the reason Barca didn't get a goal back. He is a very underrated defender.

Every time Barca got close to goal all I heard was "Brown, Brown, Brown".

Ronaldo has a mature approach to the game that Messi lacks. You can compare Messi favorably to the Ronaldo of three seasons ago, but not to the current version.

Congratulations to Manchester United, they deserved to go through over the two legs. The back four were tremendous once again but there were three performances which were dreadful.

Edwin van der Sar is on his last legs and Sir Furious must surely be looking to replace him in the summer. Over the two games he made several mistakes which would not have gone unpunished by the Barcelona of two or three years ago.

Michael Carrick for £16M has to be the biggest joke ever. What has this guy ever done for anyone to think he is worth even a fraction of that price? Way out his depth tonight and can't be a long term option in the United midfield.

The only thing Carrick picked tonight was his arse. Lazy player who can't tackle, doesn't read the game particularly well and gets caught ball watching all too often. Basically the opposite of Owen Hargreaves.

Ronaldo was marginally better in the second half but only because he didn't see the ball often enough to give it away to the Barcelona players. Capable of so much more than what we saw tonight and last Wednesday.
