View Full Version : Who's the better businessman?
Don Corleone 04-26-2008, 02:35 PM Dana White and Vince Mcmahon both control the PPV world in a close race with boxing. Each do their part to gain the most fans and PPV buys and to sell out each event they have. Vince took over the business from his dad and since then has made a very large profit from WWE. He has acheived key milestones and is a self proclaimed billionaire. He has bought several organizations to eliminate further competition and has gained marketable success. Dana White on the other hand has turned MMA from a little known sport to popular sport. He was put in as predident of the UFC after Zuffa decided to buy the UFC and make it progress in ways that aren't imaginable. In 2006, the UFC broke all previous PPV records for the most single year revenue with more then $220,000,000 passing both boxing and the WWE. It's mainstream emergence was quickly felt in the world of PPV competition. The UFC has also had their share of buying out competition to decline the rise of any competition. From these two mega giants in PPV, who is the better businessman, Vince or Dana and why?
Mozza 04-26-2008, 03:13 PM McMahon wins based on length of service. I like White much better but he has started to annoy me recently.
MentalExecution 04-26-2008, 06:02 PM Well it wouldn't be fair because Vince has been around longer but Dana is getting there.
Don Corleone 04-26-2008, 06:23 PM Ye that's true, McMahon has had more time but I mean who has accomplished overall more in their time span within their business
Mugicha 04-26-2008, 08:25 PM Dana proved himself capable of taking a fledgling enterprise and lifting it into orbit, but now that the thing's gotten as big as it has he has shown himself utterly inept at adapting to changing circumstances and quelling mishaps imo.
neils7147933 04-26-2008, 08:27 PM I'm going to channel some old school boxingscene jose here...
Vince McMahon and it ain't up for debate
Verstyle 04-26-2008, 08:36 PM Vince is a billionaire. THREAD CLOSED.

That is a 100% accurate summary.
Mickey Gomez 04-26-2008, 09:34 PM Dana is the best business man because he pays his fighters very little.
Don Corleone 04-26-2008, 10:12 PM Vince is a billionaire. THREAD CLOSED.
Actually he is about $250,000,000 away from it. He claims he is but he put his business on the stock market. He is still rich and he shouldn't ever complain but he isn't a billionaire

Kakutogi-Gumi 04-27-2008, 09:24 AM Dana's the better business man.
He's more true to the fans even though we hate his guts.
Vinny Mac is only true to fans when it can get him out of a jam. Especially when he feels the heat.
Biggus Dickus 04-28-2008, 12:35 AM Dana is simply the front man for the UFC with a 10% ownership stake, he doesn't do anything without the say so of the Ferttita brothers.
Verstyle 04-28-2008, 12:38 AM Vince actually gets in matches and is there alot of the time during certain story lines. I don't see Dana White fighting no UFC guys. I mean yeah UFC is real but you should do anything to better your business.

Well ****, more then Dana White and his whole company most likely.
Don Corleone 04-28-2008, 02:03 PM Well ****, more then Dana White and his whole company most likely.
No doubt man. He's been around more then 20 years well known and Dana's only been around for 15 years and only recently has he made large profits but if he keeps going at this pace he might pass him but that will be really challenging

He lost a nice chunk of change on the XFL too...
2swell k-wells 04-28-2008, 03:20 PM I picked Mr Machmahon, he has dont alot more for the WWE. Its alot more harder to make up story lines, characters weekly than to make fights monthly plus mcmahon was around longer. I dont even care much for him but he wins this poll. I like Dana alot more, because of the UFC I stopped watching Wrestling.
Don Corleone 04-28-2008, 06:54 PM Many people have been MMA fans from wrestling probobly because it isn't scripted but some feuds are made to appear like the two fighters have a real hatred for each other but that isn't the case most always like in the case of Hughes and Serra
2swell k-wells 04-28-2008, 07:01 PM Sherk/Penn will probably be the same way. Penn better ****ing say something in his post fight interview rather than "go to bjpenn.com" punk.
Don Corleone 04-28-2008, 07:21 PM You got Sherk winning it?
2swell k-wells 04-28-2008, 08:52 PM oh 4sho, penn will gas, his new abs wont mean a thing haha.
Don Corleone 04-28-2008, 11:50 PM I think Bj Penn gonna win this win. He has great bjj skills and superb flexibilty I think he's gonna retain his belt
2swell k-wells 04-29-2008, 12:36 AM rubber man vs iron man
Don Corleone 04-29-2008, 03:41 PM If this goes to the ground, BJ will get the win. Even if it is standing he can strike sometimes too so I see him winning this no matter what. Wanna bet on it? 1K

who me? sure we can bet on the fight, I like sherk enough and have confidence in him to win his belt back. Your on.
Nacho_Analstain 04-29-2008, 04:49 PM The UFC will never be as huge as the WWE .. i prefer to watch the UFC than WWE though, just because its real ..

It has allready passed the WWE in most yearly revenue made in a single year in 2006 with more then $220,000,000. They have also passed them in other statistics and if they continue the pace they are in they can very well pass them but that would take a lot of years and good management
