Hendry is a legend and me all time favourite player, a know hes a scumbo fan but il let him af way that :lol1: all me m8s bang on about higgins, a like higgins and he is a big tim, but hendry will always be the man, i actually havent watched snooker in years because of hendry been past his best and a dont think he will win this either m8 hes finshed, he should have got 8 world titles, his defeat to ebdon was pathetic missing blacks of the spot a few times in frames, a knew then he was finshed, save yourself yer money.

There are very few things in sport that would please me more than seeing Stephen Hendry win his 8th World Title.

Used to hate him, think it's his face and bald head but I actually like the fella now, he never gives in and that's something I admire.

Hendry might get to the final but he wont win. It's Maguire or Ronnie this year.

I've just got a feeling it's his year. He is also my favourite all time player and at his best over a long game simply untouchable.

I've got a BIIIG double on Maguire and Ronnie to win the matches they're in now. Not feelin too confident to be honest.

Ronnie should come through and I'd love to see him against Hendry in the Final, I love Ronnie as well.

This Laing he's up against just don't know safety and I've been quite impressed with him, but he still has a lot to learn.

Hendry is the greatest ever, one of my sporting idols, actually went to see the guy play as well. He's well past his best now and hes still one of the best, in his prime he was untouchable, you literally couldnt miss, otherwise he'd wrap the frame up in a single visit, that why ronnie could never handle him when he was on form, he couldnt live the pressure of knowing one miss was gonna lose him the frame, hendry was merciless in the 90's.

**** Me Technical we are actually in complete agreement on something for once. My thoughts exactly, Hendry was a potting machine and his mental attitude second to none.

I agree with each and every word of your post.

It annoys me that people claim O'Sullivan to be 'the best player in the world ever' and use the justification of 'when he's on his day'. His 'day' is literally that, it changes from day to day. Hendry's 'day' lasted about 12 years.

The difference between Hendry now and then is when he was at his best in the 90's if he got in the balls he'd clear and win the frame 9 times out of 10. Now you could say he only does it 6 times out of 10.

Also, back in the day he would break guys hearts because they would go and make 60 and play a great safety shot and Hendry would knock in a long red and clear the table. That must have ****ed there heads up.

I always remember the final when White hammereds him for about the first 3 sessions and Hendry stormed back to win about 14 frames in a row. That was insane.!
