I like the rules....we need to let people know what were about. I'm getting fed up with all this non-sense that is being said about Mayweather so I think we need to put foward good effort to point out the truth.

I'm not sure that having a 'coalition' like this is a good idea. I respect your opinion Horus, but we have to remember this is only a message board, and ultimately although racists and 'Floyd haters' are annoying, they really shouldn't cause us so much annoyance as to start a 'war' against them. Remember, just because someone has a different opinion to you, that doesn't mean their opinion is not worthy of respect.

Horus, when you asked me if I'd have your back, of course I said yes, you are one of my favourite posters here, but you never mentioned anything about 'coalitions' with agendas and logos etc. It all seems a little extreme to me. Surely, by labelling ourselves as a group which as far as I can tell exists solely to defend Floyd Mayweather, we will merely attract more hate threads, red k and ridicule from those posters are inclined to do so. Also, I for one am interested in boxing in general, not just Mayweather and his career, so labelling myself in the way you describe would be a distortion of what I actually want to do on these boards.

The way to demonstrate to Mayweather haters, and racists who annoy you that their opinions are wrong, is to make intelligent, thoughtful posts that show why this is the case. Horus, you are already excellent at this so rather than becoming angry and talking about war, I think you would be far better served to remember that you are better than your critics and go on proving it. The whole point of unreasonable hate threads etc is to provoke an equally unreasonable response and to make you look stupid. By ignoring them and contributing positively to the debate here on boxingscene you send a much more powerful message than you do by going to 'war'.

If you really do want a coalition or group, I suggest that rather than a simply pro Mayweather agenda it would be more sensible to have a 'stop the hate' agenda, where you call for an end to hate threads about any boxer, and declare your intention to ignore them, and engage only in intelligent, reasoned argument. For a group like this I would suggest an open membership policy, whereby any serious poster, who wants boxingscene to be a quality messageboard, rather than a troll filled joke, is able to join, merely by displaying the logo in their sig. I think this sort of group would receive a very positive reaction from most members here, because although there are a few idiots, most posters here seem to love boxing and love talking about. Dislike for trolls and haters is almost universal amongst the regualr posters here.

horus, i'm cool with cotto fans being in the coalition, because i want them to get exposed, and we will do just that. i always say, you can make insults all you want, but facts are facts, and that's what really holds merit, not insults. we will sun these dudes for sure. i'm ready.
