Not sure this has been talk about but what if

Boxing always had 12 round championships fights. Boxing history would have been Changed Marciano would have had one lose, Sugar Ray Robinson would have been Light heavy Weight Champ of the world, Sugar Ray Leonard would have lost to Tommy Hearns, and Lewis would have lost to Billy Conn. Would history and boxing fans look at these fighters different. Discuss

The end result is unknown, because we don't know how guys like Conn, Marciano, Leonard, and their opponents would have responded knowing there were less rounds left in the fight.

Excellent point TS. I'm sure a lot of guys would have fought differently knowing that there were only 12 rounds.

A lot of fights would have a different result though. No doubt. Just not all.

Deuk Koo Kim would probably still be alive.

Interesting topic OP.
