.....So what did you want exactly? An admission that he came to conclusions about WMD's on his own and nobody else thought that Iraq was imminent threat? I live in a $2500/month high-floor apartment 2 blocks from the beach in Waikiki with beach, diamondhead and mountain views from my balcony. My mom can't afford that.

See, there's this little thing we signed called the Geneva Convention, where we promised to treat prisoners of war with dignity and respect.

If we're going over there to offer them our democracy, then it's contingent upon us to show them that we don't act like the man we deposed as a criminal because of doing the same type things we were doing. Would you believe we were doing you a favor if we acted like that? Would you be happy knowing that your family was in a prison being treated like that? Would you react by throwing flowers or killing Americans?

I also have selfish reasons for wanting us to show ourselves as better. You see, my little sister is over there right now. She's a sergeant in the 1st Brigade (sbct), 25th Brigade Support Battalion out of Fort Lewis, Washington. I want her home safe. When we act like animals, it reduces the chances of that.

as a bush supporter i do feel that these things the soldiers did was very wrong. and is a disgrace to our military and our country. however it is totally crazy for it to be a reflection of bush himself. these terrible acts could have happened while anyone was president. i know your gonna say it wouldn't have happened if bush didn't go there in the first place but thats where we don't agree on whether it was right or not

actually, I'm not going to say that. Rummsfeld knew, therefore Bush knew. Nothing was done to stop it until after the pictures leaked to the press and people became outraged.
If you remember correctly, it was an outraged soldier's father who got a copy of the pictures. He turned them over to the defense department long before giving them to the press after hearing nothing more.
