Fidayin 04-23-2008, 03:33 PM you can't lose fat and gain muscle. in order to gain muscle you have to eat more calories then u use and if you want to lose fat u have to eat less calories then u use. norma1250 04-23-2008, 03:33 PM 1st u have to have speed, agility, mobility and reflexes to lose. hahaha, i do, lots of it all, thats why im worried about losing them. Remember, you can't stop what you can't see! rmz 04-23-2008, 05:38 PM The guy above got it. You can't gain muscle and lose fat at the same time. My recommendation is cut your calories down and burn off the fat. After that you can bulk up slowly. To add lean muscle you have to eat an excess amount of calories and eat lots of protein rich food. Eat things like lean white meat (turkey, chicken), low fat milk, salt free nuts, natural peanut butter, fish and veggies. Eat only wheat bread. Lift weights/do strength building exercises 3x a week in addition to regular boxing exercises/cardio. If you're doing a lot of cardio, you need to increase your calories more because you will be burning a lot of calories through cardio. That being said, are you sure you want to gain muscle mass? How about cutting weight and then focusing on gaining strength? Boxers don't really need to worry about muscle mass, they just need strength, power, and speed. For that, use a strength building workout (Heavy weight, low reps) and keep calories the same as usual except take protein shakes. norma1250 04-24-2008, 03:05 AM ok, thanks RMZ! |
