Finally happening I heard today however, at my school every year has the day off apart from Sixth form for ****s sake. Stupid considering they never get cover teachers for us, and all of my teachers on that day are away.
Won't affect me that much other than having to trek between home and school for registration.

I have to go apparently in won't effect the 6th formers in our school so we've been told to carry on as normal. They can't even do a strike properly.

Yup got the letter but it won't affect sixth form, despite me knowing for a fact none of teachers will be there.
The irony is, they're striking for better pay, whilst at the same time not getting paid for that days "work." Maybe we're paying them too much?
Duran, I'm not rubbing it in mate I'm not even going to mention this morning which I had off.

Technically it's not my union that is on strike... the N.U.T (national union of teachers) is the one that is refusing to work..
i'm part of the "N.A.S.W.U.T" which aren't striking...but apparently we are not allowed to do any of the work, or cover lessons of absent NUT members. So fair enough. It'll be a quiet day then... but i still gotta turn it at school and to be honest... i don't wanna lose a days pay.
Still if my union was on strike, i wouldn't be turning in.
