What kind of gloves do you guys use?

Right now I have a pair of TKO bag gloves and a pair of Grant fight gloves that I use when I spar and theyre both getting worn down....any suggestions on some good gloves I could look into getting?

I second this. I've had a pair of the Everlast professional training gloves for the last couple years, and I love them. I have the black, 18 oz. with velcro fastening. I'm really happy with them, so far.

i use century leather wrap bag gloves.

for sparring i use a few different kinds of open fingered mma type gloves as our sparring consists of palms, pulls, pushes, etc, besides basic punching techniques. i also own a couple of pairs of everlast boxing gloves when i do boxing specific sparring.

i find that the century bag gloves work very well. pretty tight fit though as i have big hands.

i personally don't even like using bag gloves when hitting a heavybag. i have very very strong hands and wrists. and, with proper alignment being a huge part of our punching curriculum, i have no problems hitting a 200 lb bag without risking damage to my wrists. people with weak wrists or bad alignment need more support. the reason i usually wear bag gloves is because it affects the skin of your hands from the contact.

har har....

I use Title Gloves - 16 Oz. They're decent, but definitely not the best, they're inexpensive though and they do protect your hands pretty well. I like the Everlast Gloves as well, but you have to get the professional training gloves. The cheap $35 ones will last you a week. Also, Ringside International Gloves are excellent as well.

Winning pro 16oz gloves for sparring and Bags ALL THE WAY!!!!!!. i swear by them. you actually do get what you pay for. Put a pair on before anyone say's there a waste of money.

Although i am a defensive fighter and my style fighters tend to use grant or winning as they are the most protective. their cushioned but they protect the hands, and defensive fighters dont go for so much power punches.

Power punchers want you to feel their shots as much as possible so go for less cushioned gloves like cleto reyes.

If your a power puncher, get reyes or everlast. you defensive, winning or grant

i usually give my friends 10 or 8 ounce gloves(forgot which weight) when they want to mess around with me. i don't mind using bigger heavier gloves - helps me clean up my timing. of course you have to be a bit tough to be able to take full on liver punches from 10 ounce gloves from guys that outweigh you by like 60 lbs.

yeah, i hardly ever get to play with people smaller than me. i do kind of enjoy the challenge of people with bigger frames, wing spans, and more weight.
