(Montreal, Canada) – The anticipation has been building for months and the suspense is finally over as TKO finally announces GEORGES “RUSH” ST-PIERRE’s opponent for TKO 13 Ultimate Rush™: Texas’s own PETE “THE SECRET WEAPON” SPRATT, one of the best strikers in the game, who just recently defeated UFC’s phenom Robbie Lawler in Miami, Florida.

Pete Spratt to fight in UCC/TKO

The UCC/TKO has informed MMA Ringreport that the main event for the TKO 13 show in September will be a fight between UCC heir apparant Georges "Rush" St Pierre Vs Pete "The Secret Weapon" Spratt. This fight in interesting many levels as Spratt is coming off a big win, probably the biggest win of his career against "Ruthless" Robbie Lawler and St Pierre his biggest win over Californian Thomas "The Wildman", this fight will be a classic Striker vs Grappler matchup with a lot on the line for both fighters.

The Sushiboy had a chance to sit chat briefly with St Pierre and he says "I am ready to go" This is what he had to say about his upcoming bout with Spratt.

Sushiboy: Will he be your toughest challenge to date?

George St Pierre: I have never fight before a good fighter like him. For this fight I train a lot on my stand up skill, I will exchange low kicks with him!!!

Bold words from the champ, this fight should be a barnburner.

Getting back to the Georges St Pierre Vs Pete Spratt fight, it is also intersting on another level in the fact that the UCC/TKO and Pete Spratt's manager Sven Bean, who is the also manager of the Duane Ludwing, presumibly had bad relations in the past. It appears all is well now and they have had their problems sorted out and put in the past. More shocking is the fact that Duane Ludwig may be coming back to fight for the UCC/TKO again in the near future, and it may even be as soon as the November card! David Loiseau who is scheduled to fight on the Sept UFC card is also rumored to be on the November lineup. It looks like the November TKO card is shaping up to be a very strong card indeed.

The rest of the TKo 13 Card is solid throughout with Denis Kang who has won his last four fights, impressively defeating UFC veteran Keith Rockel and making it to the finals of the middleweight tournament in Hawaii for the Superbrawl organization before bowing out due to injury, he will face off against Stephane Potvin who has wins over Amir Rahnavardi, Joe Doerkson and Ronald Jhun. In other Canadian news it looks like Georges St Pierre has a lot on his plate and will be flying to Moscow, Russia in October to fight in M-1!!! The M-1 organization is said to be close to the management team of St Pierre and he has signed a contract to fight in the M-1 card in October but as of press his opponent is still unknown. MMARR

I've seen St. Pierre a couple times. I saw him knock a guy out with elbows on the ground, and when he won the title a while ago. He's pretty impressive and I think Spratt will have his hands full.

are you telling me that Georges St Pierre beat Thomas "The Wildman" recently? as in Thomas "The Wildman" Denny from KOTC with the colorful head?! Damn. That kid must have some talent. Regarless, i think Spratt has proven himself to be one of the top contenders. i'm gonna pull for him. hes come a long way. i cant really say i know or predict he'll win coz i dont know who this Georges St Pierre guy is but he must have some real good telent to have taken out Denny.

That's the plan man! I gotta pay my dues for a few years and compete in the smaller shows first. UCC/TKO is getting huge and I would love to be a part of them.

Gonna just flat out train solid for a few months b4 I even think about fighting again. Gotta shed 20 lbs of belly first.:devil
