msagrain 04-19-2008, 03:09 PM He keeps his hands too low.
Bendigo 04-19-2008, 03:18 PM Keep the gloves on, man--at the very least wrap your hands. They're too precious to mess up on a heavy bag, especially when you already have the capacity to protect them.
But yeah, keep those hands up, and make sure you use your legs in your uppercuts. Other than that, your hand speed is good, you're using your range to its fullest, and good work moving around the bag and taking what it gives you.
:boxing:
makaveli_uk 04-19-2008, 03:32 PM Your keeping your shoulders too high, have them relaxed. I used to do the same thing until thursday. Relax your soulders.
Other thn than, good, but keep your hands up too!
P4PKING_2008 04-19-2008, 03:41 PM You are way too exposed for an uppercut. You lean way too forward when punching. And the bag should not be swinging that much, it means you are pushing your punches in. They should have a snap to them. Also, wear handwraps at least or you will be ****ed.
sterling 04-19-2008, 04:01 PM try get a lil bit more technical with ur training work on the basics.
Mile Kitic 04-19-2008, 07:53 PM i am snapping my punches back not pushing, bag was swinging bacause it is not so heavy. i was leting my hands down because i was tired a bit after practice, and i would never drop them down against opponent...(sure, i know i should do heavy bag like i'm fighting opponent and keep my hands up, but i didn't do it this time). don't worry about my hands (i used to punch bag with no gloves or wraps earlier (stoopid i know), and it was paintful sometimes, but now i am used to it. only thing now is i have scars all over my knuckles, but punching doesn't hurt me). I was not paynig attentionon techinque much in these videos because i was tired like i said, and because i was going at hard-punching workout... (sometimes i do strong punches, and still try to be techinicial as much as i can, and sometimes i use small strength but focus mostly on technique)
thx for comments and tips by the way
Mile Kitic 04-21-2008, 07:08 PM anyone else? tips and comments still welcome

~Lucky13~ 04-22-2008, 02:18 PM You have some positives and negatives.
Positives:
You're keeping your chin low, that's good.
Hand speed looking alright, although the bad quality might make it look faster due to skipping frames.
You're in a good position to counter a lazy jab or straight right.
Negatives:
Shoulders too high, that screws up your stamina.
Relax yourself, keep shoulders low and your punches will be less telegraphed.
Try some upper body movement, head movement.
Try using your feet a little more instead of just bullying the heavy bag with your forearms, that can bite you in the ass in a real match.
Give some more angles, you're one-dimensional and can be easily figured out by an experienced boxer.
Basically be a little less predictable and relax yourself.
Relaxing is key to winning a fight.
snoopy360 04-22-2008, 02:59 PM Just a side note, your waiting to long before you throw the left hook. I have the same problem and didn't realize it until I took some video. Since then I've worked on being more fluid with out the hesitation. Everything else looks good besides what was mentioned before. There seemed to be plenty of snap in those punches but try to keep your hands up. Tired or not perfect practice means perfect execution, or if you perfer "The more you sweat in training the less you bleed in the ring."

prove yourself better
J_CON 05-09-2008, 08:02 PM Thats really bad. Why the **** would you hit a heavy back without gloves
billybilo 05-09-2008, 09:09 PM Seriously, why do some people feel the need to add absolutely nothing constructive to guys who post vids? It's really immature and pointless. Surely respect has to be given for putting yourself out there and asking for feedback?
I thought you looked pretty bloody good fella. I wouldn't want to be on the end of any of those shots! I'm not a boxer but I love the sport and like to keep fit, unlike a lot of the people on this forum, i don't PRETEND to be anything else.
I'm not talking about people who actually give good advice, just the idiots who try and fail to be funny.
MoneyINC 05-10-2008, 04:53 AM Your friend is very technical and loose and seems to be the better boxer,as for you your very shakey and short or do yo naturally throw uppercuts underneth the bag.. you need more work then him.. but both of you keep working.. and make sure the next time you post a vid one of you is getting KOed by the other!
Mile Kitic 05-10-2008, 11:26 AM yes he is better, he is practicing much longer than me, and he was amateur national champ last year, now he is training hard to go pro soon.. i'm not short that much (i'm 182cm) but that bag is pretty tall... that was old vids i put there recorded few months ago, were both better now, new vids will come soon
Is it me....or is the bag hung a little too high?
Mile Kitic 05-11-2008, 03:46 PM like i said in previous post, it is...
You don't look bad, you need to loosen up a bit, you seem really tense and concentrating way too hard .. dance around .. move .. get used to the ground your standing on and pick your punches, it doesn't all have to be power .. treat it like a dance practice, get every move perfect and take your time.
Hey, pretty good i gotta say.I know other guys have said this but, relax your shoulders a bit :) I find it makes punching more fluent and less tiring. But overall, good. You moved well and kept your chin tucked down.
:)
Mile Kitic 05-11-2008, 04:47 PM thx, i will use your advice
