MMAWeekly's John Hartnett reports from Florida that he is hearing that Kimo has been offered a contract to fight Tim Sylvia for the UFC Heavyweight Championship in September.

After a dominating return bout against Tank Abbott at UFC 43, Kimo is setting his sights on UFC gold. It has been reported that Kimo has been offered somewhere in the ball park of 30,000 to show and another 30,000 win purse to face UFC heavyweight champion Tim Sylvia at UFC 44.


But the deal isn’t done yet. Apparently Kimo’s camp is looking at the deal and some in Kimo's camp believe he deserves a bigger purse and seem to feel that Kimo is being paid less than what he’s worth.

For now though Kimo is still considering the deal and nothing has been signed as of yet.

whats to consider other than the fact that he is going to get beat in a match that he doesn't deserve?

The UFC has become just poor in there match making of late this is terrible news Kimo is a joke he just beat an evan bigger joke who is really old for the fight game. UFC is just doing an awfull job they have huge numbers of Ken and Shammy was awsome they come back with some pretty poor cards terrible match making with no real ryme of reason for any futue title fights just throughing fights out there alot of fighters who have no buisness being in the UFC ect I sen this today and I just thought oh christ!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mir is a great submission guy who has no chance Vs Syvia he could not possibly get Sylvia down and his chin is awfull about as glass as anyone he beats a run down Tank and gets a win handed to him and he should get a shot Ricco Vs Mir winner gets Gan Vs Sylvia
