View Full Version : Does Stella turn you into a maniac!?
mickeyb 04-18-2008, 09:51 AM Is it an olds wives tale? Or does Stella really turn you into a wife-beater.
Get this, i usually stay clear of the stuff unless i have it in the smaller portion of a bottle - OR if it's a choice between that and Carlsberg. I've had a few good nights on the Stella, where to be honest, it's ended up with me being thrown out of places for less than savoury behaivour - and when you're from S.Yorks - it takes a big thing to be considered unsavoury.
What say ye?
Nicky_Hatton 04-18-2008, 10:17 AM I think maybe it's a bit of self fullfilling prophecy, and largely a myth.
Just googled this;

Not sure how true that is, or if it's a Stella rep talking. Notice how they've tried to rebrand it to Stella Artois in the adverts. StellAHHHHH is a nice word for pikeys.
Shanus 04-18-2008, 10:17 AM I get really touchy when I drink stella, I have a laugh but the smallest of things annoy me and I go over the top.
mickeyb 04-18-2008, 10:22 AM On a side note, the Hillsborough North Stand sing...
I GO OUT, DRINK 10 PINTS,
GET ABSOULTELY PLASTERED.
THEN GO HOME AND BEAT THE WIFE
WE ARE THE WEDNESDAY BASTARDS!
mgkirkpatrick 04-18-2008, 12:16 PM stella is a great brew.. not much of a wife beater's drink in aus.. cause its so ****ing expensive..

TRAVI$ 04-18-2008, 01:45 PM Its not just stella
I bought some tropicana from tesco, put it in my car, drove home, opened the bottle about to pour it into a glass, and some juice squirted on my jumper, so i drove back to tesco, smashed the glass and rammed it through the young lads throat who served me
TRAVI$ 04-18-2008, 01:56 PM Its just not me
OASIS_LAD 04-18-2008, 08:35 PM Yes but it's nothing compared to this stuff:

I can't drink that shit anymore. I basically consumed it everyday during my teenage years and can't even look at a bottle now.
mickeyb 04-18-2008, 08:37 PM never tried it.
Any good?
OldSkool 04-18-2008, 08:40 PM yh its decent. never even tried it before i came to scotland but its a nice tipple. horrid once you first drink it though, think its an acquired taste. gets you ****ing well wrecked but well hyper. think its full of caffeine.
Doesnt even compare to stella though! few drinks do
dansapien 04-18-2008, 10:12 PM stella dont do anything different to you than any other beer.

Maybe Stella wont make you beat the wife but 3 bottles of that would. LOL!
Its good stuff, my tenage years consisted of drinking that daily and ****in sluts. :boxing:
Nicky_Hatton 04-19-2008, 11:11 AM I've got the crate of Stellar in for tonight, lucky I'm not married. I can always beat up my mum?
hemichromis 04-19-2008, 04:09 PM Alcohol = Alcohol
different quantities will effect you but the drink they come from wont unless the concentration is different.
Jambo Boy 04-19-2008, 04:16 PM short answer = yes
long answer = **** yes
mickeyb 04-19-2008, 09:18 PM Stella turns me in a aggressive homosexual.
Hoff has been known to feed it me through a drip might i add.
GreenGetter 04-22-2008, 06:33 AM lol, thats just wrong man!
Although i once drank 6 pints of stella and thought it would be a good idea to climb a deralict house. safe to say the obvious happened and i fell through the roof, landing about 2 foot away from a rather nasty looking ****e. No other ****ing lager makes me do that crazy shit i'll tell you that
Don Gorgon 04-22-2008, 07:20 AM Stella and Kronenbourg are drinks I tend to avoid, I recall being carried home after downing 5 pints of Stella on an empty stomach!
The irony is I now drink Duvel which is 8%, lovely beer!
