View Full Version : Liverpool FC in turmoil - thoughts?
MickyHatton 04-17-2008, 04:19 AM Not sure if anyone has seen the blatant PR stunt that the Co-Owner Tom Hicks has released today? Its on the Skysports loop as the top story.
It starts with him and his kids sitting in his home cinema watching Liverpool v Blackburn and with Hicks drinking from his Liverpool mug.
In short he goes on to say that he loves the club, Rafa is great, the city is the best and that Parry hasn't done a good enough job and should then resign.
What do you think guys, great PR or devious ruse?

RED ARMY 04-17-2008, 08:45 AM I think its pure comedy, but i wouldn't find it funny if i were a Liverpool fan. Jesus it was so obvious it was unreal."Yeahhh, ohhh Everton aren't gonna like this" rofl, ****inell it was hilarious.
Nicky_Hatton 04-17-2008, 09:43 AM Something about Ricky Parry's fault that they rake 15m less in that United and CHelsea?
Savino 04-17-2008, 11:22 AM been an Evertonian I think it is hilarious. When the yanks took over Liverpool fans were so happy now they are fuming. What I don't get is that the fans were complainin about not havin the money to spend yet the they spend 50mil in the summer and still are shite. Remember last season when Liverpool fans were saying "we are a goal scorer away from winning the league?" well you got a very good goal scorer but your still shit in the league and miles off the title.
Tuggers1986 04-17-2008, 11:35 AM It's obviously staged! As if he sits watching Liverpool drinking out of his Liverpool mug with his kids. What a load of bollocks.
MickyHatton 04-17-2008, 01:55 PM Agree with all, I dont trust the bastard at all.
I have to admit that when they took over I was happy but they have definately contributed to the poor form via poor morale this season. I just hope they sort it out soon so we can get back to football.
BTW our league form did dip badly for about 8 games and that ruled us out but I dont think we are a million miles away from at least competing for the league, look at the table and see the amount of draws we have had and how few loses. Also in all competition I belive we have scored more goals than any other English side, just not in the Premiership (we did score 8 past Besiktas though).

:lol1: :lol1: Brilliant
fasman 04-17-2008, 04:39 PM Dont know man, i reckon the american owners should just **** off...
That would be a start... Then get someone like DIC to invest, they actually seem like they are passionate about the club...
Cheetah 04-17-2008, 04:41 PM why is he coming out doing interviews saying parry has to go. i think he is just making the situation worse. lmao about the scene in the living room
Savino 04-18-2008, 03:03 PM IMO they have used the board thing as a scrapegoat. I know you aint lost but you was still drawin games way before all the drama come out. Just face it you are so far behind in the league. If the board ****ed up team morale why are you doing so well in champions league compared to league? I listend to one of the board memebers (which one is who?) on his chair yesterday and he does seem to wanna get Liverpool to the top. Just be patient Kopites
War For 94 04-18-2008, 11:29 PM Come on you Scousers, let them know who's boss! Murder the cunts. Let the foreigners know that messing with our football clubs is punishable by death.
Seriously though, I wouldn't be at all surprised if a gang of Liverpool supporters were to murder Hicks and Gillett.
