The standard of the SPL is magnificent.

As are Derby, Bolton, Fulham, Birmingham, Reading, Wigan, Sunderland, Middlesbrough and the rest of the shit which pollutes the lower regions of the Premiership. Rangers and Celtic are as good as if not better than anything outwith the top four in England.

Nah, this weekend we play in the Scottish Cup semi-final, next Thursday we play Fiorentina in the UEFA Cup semi-final, as Britain's sole representatives I may add, and then on the Sunday we play Celtic again.

Ya clutching at straws you know that don't yer?

The SPL is pants, Two horse race for the last 20 odd years.

Scottish Cup! No one outside Scotland give two shits about the Scottish cup and the UFEA Cup is a poor mans Champions league.

Rangers and Celtic in the Premier League are mid Table if that. Stick Sunderland, Boro and some of the Primerships shitest in the SPL and they'd push The Old Firm all the way for the title cause the rest of the teams in the SPL are ****ing hopeless.

Keep wishing you were Premiership pal.

This is beyond idiocy. The SPL might be a two horse race but so are most leagues. In Spain, more often than not, Barcelona and Real Madrid contest the league. In England it has been Manchester United and Arsenal for years until the Russian billionaire came along. In Italy, it tended to be AC Milan or Juventus. So please, don't make out as if other leagues have five or six teams challenging for the league because in nearly every season two teams will run each other close or one team will run away with it.

Nobody outside Scotland does care about the Scottish Cup but once again I must point out that nobody outside England gives a **** about the FA Cup, nobody outside Spain gives a **** about the Spanish Cup. You can see where I'm going.

The UEFA Cup might be a poor man's Champions League but that doesn't mean the teams that are in it don't want to win it. In fact, most of the teams in the competition are of Champions League standard and some of the poor teams who have won it in recent times include Sevilla, Valencia, Porto, Inter and Liverpool. This season German minnows Bayern Munich are hoping to win it.

You are possibly correct that Rangers and Celtic would be mid table if they entered the Premiership right now but what you fail to understand is that with the added TV revenue Rangers and Celtic would break into the top four within a few years. Currently the team that gets relegated from the Premiership earns more in TV rights than Rangers or Celtic but the money the Glasgow clubs make from merchandising far outstrips anything down South. Rangers and Celtic both have enormous fanbases which are far greater than all Premiership teams outwith the top four and it is for that reason that the other teams don't want them in the Premiership because it means they will fall further down the pecking order.

You can make attempts to criticise Rangers and Celtic all you want but please remind me first what team you support and how many trophies they have won.

Sunderland and Inter.

Mickey mouse clubs them.:ugh:

To go to your first point when was the last time a team other then Rangers or Celtic won the league?

The gap between Rangers and Celtic and the team in 3rd place is how big???
Not just in points but in general??? At least in Prem the gap's closing to the top four and the gap in class isn't as big a caseem as it is in Scotland for carrying out load. The Premiership wouldn't be the world's most watched league if the gap in class was that big in class.

No outside of England gives a **** about the oldest club competion in the world???? Turn it in for ****s sake, The FA Cup final goes out to nearly every country on the planet.

I don't think the Scottish Cup well be shown in Hong Kong??? do you ???

I'd welcome Rangers and Celtic to the Primer league with open arms, just don't expect to win anything again.

Wish you were here,

Aberdeen in 1985.

The gap in points between first and third last season was 19 points. The gap between the same placed teams in the Premiership was 21. The difference in class is irrelevant. You are making arguments here which would be valid if I was trying to say the SPL was as good as the Premiership but I'm not. My point is that outside the top four there are a lot of very average teams. That is a compliment to many of them. The Premiership is not the most watched league because of it's competitiveness.

No outside of England gives a **** about the oldest club competion in the world???? Turn it in for ****s sake, The FA Cup final goes out to nearly every country on the planet.

Please spare me this nonsense. If you think Hong Kong is going to be buzzing about the upcoming FA Cup final between Portsmouth and Cardiff then please pass whatever you're smoking in this direction. I have been honest enough to say the Premiership is the most watched league in the world but please spare me the nonsense about the FA Cup being a prestigious trophy. Surely nobody would have the temerity to deride the UEFA Cup while praising the FA Cup. Surely.

I'd welcome Rangers and Celtic to the Primer league with open arms, just don't expect to win anything again.

We'd be winning more often than Sunderland or any other team outwith the top four, that's for sure.
