I don't mean those bandwagon jumpers who will walk around for months with a shiny new 'B' hat on. I want to congratulate those tortured souls who have been rooting for this team for as long as they could read the letter 'B', who have suffered Boone, Buckner and the rest. No other fans in the history of sports have deserved this victory as much as you. Enjoy it!

Has there ever been another team to win both Football and Baseball consecutively?

1969 New York Mets, 1969 New York Jets, 1970 New York Knicks.

What about when the Giants beat the Bills? I think it was early 90s. Did the yanks go to the World Series then?

It was hilarious how all the Boston fans started showing up at Fenway covered in Patriots gear when the team fell down 0-3. Now they probably can't decide what to put on.

I'm a Bears fan, so hopefully I won't have to wait for a Chicago baseball club to win before they win another title. Starting to look that way, though

This is one of the things that makes Boston fans so pathetic. They have such an inferiority complex that they hate the NY teams more than they love their own teams. The Chant "Yankees Suck" at the Patriots Super Bowl parade for Christ Sakes. You'll never hear New Yorkers chant Red Sox suck because we don't give a rats ass about them. But they are totally obsessed with us.

Nah, the Yanks sucked bad in the 80s and throughout the 90s until Steinbrenner was barred from getting involved with the team. Only then were players on the farm given time to develop. Now that he's back, they're back to buying big-name players that destroy team chemistry.

Just wait till it's been a hundred years since any New York team won a title. Based on how they're all playing these days, it just might be that long :D

I have nothing to say to the Bostonians.

I'm a Philadelphian....we haven't had a champion since '83.
The Eagles are looking excellent, but that may be just another set up for a let down.

Fortunately, I'm a fight fan...& my city is rich when it comes to boxing.

The Yankees are back to their old ways...buying high-priced talent but not assembling a true team. Thanks Steinbrenner for that. They have talent leftover from the years when he wasn't involved but that won't last forever.

The football teams are decent but, I'm sorry, I just don't believe in either of them. The Giants are overachieving, IMHO, like the Cowboys were last year (honeymoon period for a new coach...same thing). The Jets have too much competition in the AFC to get through.

I was exaggerating a bit, of course. It's just fun to make fun of New York teams.
