I just got back from karting. I went with a couple of friends, I had the fastest time of the heat and when I got back to the bar to collect my stuff I heard I had the fastest day time.

karting s rare in the US still, and vastly popular in europe. Theres a kart track near where i live, it kicks serious ass.

basically karting is go-karts, but not like the ma and pa speed ones. The track near me is all indoors and sports top speeds over 40mph, which when your an inch off the ground, feels like 70. There are only a handful of places in the US tho, but the place near me is doing well and plans on opening more locations in the next couple of years.

What kind of track was it, asphalt or dirt? How long was the track? My daughter will start kart racing in 2 years. There is a dirt track here she's going to run on. Either a go kart or quarter midget.

it was asphalt track, 450 meters, which is about 500 yards.

They have tracks here they race just like the stock car series. Some of them run over 100 MPH. The kids look so cute in the little fire suits and helmets. After I get my stock car back up and running next year I'll start working on my daughters kart.

go karting is pretty cool. I have tried it a few times

I prefer rollercosters though
