Queen - Don't Stop Me Now
Queen - Under Pressure
Queen - We are the Champions
Queen - We Will Rock You

I've been experimenting with relaxing, experimental, ambient music as of late. Some Andreas Vollenweider and some Brian Eno stuff. I find that kinda stuff helps me on my longer runs.

I'm gonna have a go of some of the music suggested in here on my shorter runs. Queen usually does the job for me but I guess it won't hurt to try something new.

I find, generally speaking, aslong as the music has a fast beat and some kinda big base rhythm it can get me in the mood.

well i haven't delved quite as much into the world of slayer as i have wanted to yet (rather recently have i become a fan of this genre, never thought i would.... but here i am now, loving it more than ever!), but my favorite slayer songs as of now are:

top 2: dead skin mask and skeletons of society
then: i hate you
here comes the pain
reign in blood
angel of death

again, i haven't listened to too much slayer so if you've got any suggestions i'd love to hear em :boxing:

pantera:
WALK
cowboys from hell
domination
becoming
i'm broken
5 minutes alone
drag the waters
immortally insane

(all from their "reinventing hell - best of pantera" cd, very delicious...)

sure some athletes will be fine using music but IMO it is best to train without music, because come time to spar or fight, u wont have your ****in ipod.

Who says this is a sparring tracklist loL? This is just music that motivates you and gets you in the right frame of mind. Nobody is forcing you to play it while u spar or fight lol. Running in particular can get really boring without music for most people.

you missed the point...and that first sentence makes no sense, bro. the only thing you'll hear when you spar is whatever radio station the radio is on, 50 ft away...so, imo it's a pretty silly thing you just said, but anyway, moving on....

it's good to be able to motivate yourself without music.
guys that rely on music are mentally weaker come time to spar or fight, no doubt.

you can pick a youngin out pretty easily just count how many times a person says 'lol' in a paragraph, if they say lol more than once in a paragraph there's a 75% chance the guy's around age 15...

which is pretty cool, kids on here nothing wrong with that, but when you have children on here backtalking and being smartasses, eh, that could be an issue ><

Heres mine you younger guys might not of heard of that much (yeah Im 35) but all these songs motivate me:

Suicidal tendencies -You cant bring me down / Institutionalised
(was really into ST when I was 16, still got the red vinyl record, these 2 songs are favs)

Circle Jerks - Live Fast, Die Young
(classic old school punk anthem)

grinspoon - Just ace
(aussie hard rock from 90s)

ACDC - let there be rock
(need more be said)

Minor threat - straight edge
(early 80s punk)

Pantera - killers
(never really into Pantera but this cover of Iron Maidens song rocks)

Raised Fist - Soldiers of today

Bodycount - KKK *****
(bodycount were awesome)

Jello Biafro & DOA - wish I was in El Salvador
(punk with a political message got this on vinyl still)

Sinead Oconnor - Jackie
(not fast but powerful first song of Sineads first and best Album- Lion and the Cobra, she put out when she was 20)

Jurassic 5 - A day at the races
(just thought I would put this in to not seem to old - but good band)
