-CANE- 04-05-2008, 02:17 PM I had a £5 to win bet on Comply or Die and a £5 to win bet on Mr Appointment.
Can't believe I won. 8-1 odds on the second favourite and payed back £40. So £30 up and very happy. Not a lot but better than a poke up the arse. If only the other horse had won I'd have been up by £330. First time I've ever won betting on the horses.
Duggie 04-05-2008, 03:02 PM I put an E/W bet on Bewleys Berry, Horse looked good the whole race but went from 1st to 5th in the final 2 fences
TheHoff'sGhost 04-05-2008, 03:52 PM Well done Hurricane. A good little win there.
I had money on Simon, Cloudy lane and Cornish Sett :nonono:
Patty Tanager 04-05-2008, 03:59 PM I had Bewleys Berry, Philson Run, Turko & Naunton Brook.
Oasis_Lad 04-05-2008, 04:02 PM The only horse I'd bet on is Mozza's bird as she competes in a strongman competition:

I went for Comply or Die purely because my brother had it in the sweepstakes at his work, he also put a £10 bet on at 9-1 as well and I thought he picks the winner nearly every bloody year so I'm gonna go with his choice.
He is very lucky when it comes to the horses, he don't bet often but when he does he seems to win. He went to Ascot a few years back and decided to bet on the jockey rather than the horse and had 5 wins in 7 races and won £400.
DURAN_IS_GOD 04-06-2008, 06:58 AM £5 e/w on comply or die, won £53.70, pretty pleased. paid for my night out
paul750 04-06-2008, 04:54 PM £15 e/w on Snowy Morning @ 16/1. I was a bit pissed off because I thought it was going to come first until the last part of the race.
CraigM 04-07-2008, 05:34 AM i was going to have a tenner eachway on comply or die but my net ladbrokes account wouldn't load quick enough...
won £300 of a tenner next day though so no worries there.

So did I.
I really thought it was going to win until it jumped in to the last fence instead of over it.
Gutted.

Snap, I had a fiver on Cloudy Lane as well. The odds I got for Comply or Die were 7-1 though. Still.....
I'm going next year, went a few years back and it was superb.
