So I was sparring yesterday.
Firstly, i had to do 2 x 1 min against a guy whos 14 but has been boxing for 6 years. Even though he didnt go in too hard, it was annoying because he still went for loads of body shots, which im not yet able to cover up well. So right near the end, when our coach was calling it to an end, he went in hard and punched me low. I accepted it was an accident but wasnt happy with the whole thing.

Does anyone else have similar experiences?
Also, do you think its right that i should spar with someone who had been boxing for 6 years - and was actually working me quite hard.

A foul protector costs less than a good mouthguard. It should be the second piece of equipment you buy.

It comes with the territory, man. I've been hit low plenty. It's almost never intentional, but that doesn't make it suck any less. You just have to take it in stride.

tbh it was an accident, i think getting hit and hitting properly for the first time was a shock to me and it pissed me off more than normal
