View Full Version : UFC fighter in GP?
realkaps 06-18-2003, 09:26 PM This maybe bull****, I havnt checked the source.....
"In a post-press conference interview, Sakakibara said he spoke with UFC President Dana White. He said they agreed that the UFC would send a fighter to represent their organization in the Grand Prix."
I've seen it posted elsewhere, I think it'd be a good idea, but if the UFC fighter wins it's gonna make Pride look ****ty, so if one does go, expect for him to have the toughest draw. I think sending Chuck would make sense right now. He'd have 6 plus weeks to train, I've heard it may be a lesser known guy. Rich Franklin maybe?

From what I have seen, there isn't going to be an easy draw in this GP
I agree, you gotta belive(at least I do) that Pride would do everything possible in their power to keep the UFC guy from winning though. How great would it be to see Chuck vs. Rampage?
Curly Howard 06-18-2003, 10:28 PM Send Vitor
Old Vitor, New Vitor, or New Old Vitor? I really doubt that they'd send Vitor though, I think he'll be groomed for a shot at the Ortiz vs. Couture winner.
badguy 06-18-2003, 10:49 PM IT WILL BE EITHER LIDDELL OR VITOR I HAVE TO BELIEVE NOT TITO OR SORRY couture
realkaps 06-18-2003, 11:06 PM I say its either Chuck or a lesser known contender. Like Zen said, maybe Rich Franklin or Vernon White.....
badguy 06-19-2003, 12:14 AM I say chuck possibly as kinda of a thank you to the guy for being a warrior and losing his shot at tito and also it gives him an instant shot at redeaming himself.
If it were chuck how do you think he would do.
VulgarTheClown 06-19-2003, 12:39 AM I think rampage would dominate him.
Rampage is to much for everybody right now.
he is going to be unstopable if he keeps training like this
Mr. Beelzebub 06-19-2003, 12:08 PM It has to be Chuck.
DOGGx0 06-19-2003, 12:12 PM i hope its eitehr Chuck Liddell or Vitor Belfort. More than likely Belfort, coz I remember Dana saying that he wanted to send Chuck, but he wanted Chuck to fight Wanderlei.
Seeing either or in Pride would be cool.
The Ensanity 06-19-2003, 12:14 PM Vitor Saku39 ll
Bluecifer 06-19-2003, 05:29 PM I would LOVE to see Chuck in the GP. Woe will befall his next unlucky opponent.
badguy 06-20-2003, 12:19 AM Possibly Franklin, but I would line him up someone like Kikuta or Dewees to help build him up and both guys are very good fighters
