Why do so many people think that this was a controversial decision? Just because Lewis was robbed in Lewis v. Holyfield I doesn't mean that Holyfield should win every round in which he blocks Lewis's punches with his face. I don't see how its possible to give Holyfield 7 rounds. I personally had it 117-111 for Lewis.

Holyfield doesn't block lewis's punches with his facehe does a simple manourvre called "side-stepping" the jab, which was very effective. Personally I had Holyfield winning 6-5-1 with Evander taking rounds 3-5-6-7-9-12 . . . . of course a draw would've been suitable but Lewis did not score a clear victory at all . . .

It was close fight I had lewis up by 2 but Im biased and will admit that, lets put it this way if either fight was a draw it was the second one!

117-111 is too biased!!! The difference in that fight is 2 pts at the most!!

I gave Lewis rounds 1 and 2 because of his use of the jab, i had the 3rd even, the 4th to lewis, then Holyfield winning rounds 4 through 7, 8th round to lewis, 9th to Holyfield, 10 and 11 to lewis and the 12th as an even round!
My score was 116 - 114 Lewis. Close but lewis nicked it with the early work!

I don't see how Holyfield won the 5th. If you judge Lewis that strictly then he was losing 60-54 to Vitali at the time of the stoppage. Something tells me that a lot of you people were letting Lampley and Foreman's announcing get in the way of your scoring.

the only people that think lewis/holy II was contraversial or that holy was robbed, are the lewis haters....

Lennox beat him BOTH times in my opinions. Yeah Holyfield was a great fighter but he met his match against Lennox and was lucky some mother****er bribed judges in the first fight.

no controversy in my opinion. Lewis won both.

Of course he did, people need to get a grip on reality if they think there was ANY controversy.

Hows things by the way?

i don't even feel like debating this one. Seems quite obvious to me that Lewis won.

I'll debate this one :D I feel like kicking someones ass with the truth.

Cool, i'm glad to hear all is well. I'm cool as usual, been enjoying life very much recently. Things are looking good. I haven't boxed for the last few weeks even. I haven't got the time which is a little disheartening but everything else is fine. It's rare i get on here these days but i like to keep checking on the odd occassion to see how the debating is going. Although i must say i have noticed a few *******s reading some of the threads.

Absolutely not, after Lewis got KO'd by McCall he went through a body transformation, people thought he was through when they saw how much he weighed for his return bout, but he put good weight on and his huge frame was way better off for it. You say Lewis would win at any stage, well your out of your mind!!! The Lewis that lost every round to Frank Bruno couldn't have beaten Holyfield and a lot of other fighters as well. Lennox when coming up was very amaturish at times, he was managed carefully early on and after the McCall fight he changed for the better. This Lewis you can at least make a case for beating Holyfield at any stage, although I think that is false as well, but that should be your argument, Pre-McCall Lewis was very beatable.

It was a clear cut and clean win for Lewis. The only people who had Holyfield winning are hardcore Holyfield fans or Lewis haters

Lewis didn`t lose every round to Frank Bruno, the scorecards were more or less level when lewis stopped Bruno. I wouldn`t go so far as to say Evander would beat lewis pre - McCall but i see the point about the body conditioning and certainly Emmanel Steward corrected alot of mistakes. I believe the Holyfield who beat Riddick Bowe would have a decent chance of beating the Lennox lewis of 1993. But this is more fantasy fights, who can tell?
