SO I go to the local P.A.L. to start boxing again.

Now as we all know the Police Athletic League is state funded and there to help kids stay out of trouble at no charge to the kid. kinda like a boys and girls club.

So I go to the P.A.L. to get my boxing on. and yes there are wavers to fill out. no problem.

I walk in and there is this FAT, BALD guy sittin in the dorner lookin around.

I get up to him and ask how i sign up.

He starts to talk, this is one either A) Punch Drunk X pro boxer that cannot rmemeber his name B) a drunk C) a cop that should be retired if not all 3.

He grabs some paper work and asks if i competed in the Boca PAL i tell him no I have no intention of amature boxing.

He gives me the papers and tells me it will be $50.

I tell him that I have no intention of competing for i will only be at his gym for the next month or so.

He goes fine $20 bucks but thats the least you gotta give to the PAL.

WHAT THE **** PAL IS FREE READ MY LIPS F-R-E-E! I should not have to pay for the PAL. Its funded by the state!

Why the **** do I have to pay a competition fee that prolly isn't even goin to my competition fee (which is actually $40 not $50).

This old ass mother ****er is tryin to make extra bucks off some kids tryin to stay out of trouble!

The ring ropes are LOOSE like a hooker on $2 tuesdays

all the bags are OLD and taped together

there is no room even everyone is elbow to elbow.

just walkin over to the guy i almost got hit by a kid jumproping and another guy shadow boxing.


the trainer doesn't even help train he just sits his fat ass down and looks around.

That's total BS. You should contact PAl and see what they have to say about it.

I should, then i would get **** if i went back, which i will not do anyway so i should contact the Broward Sheriff's Office and see whats the ****in deal with that ****

they are ran like that cause they are way under funded. They are volunteers that work there. Most the equipment is donated.

that is not so, well at least not here that i have been to.

All the trainers are paid that I know of.

If not they are Cops that get paid to sit in a gym.

maybe it's different there.....here we had a program like that I started in....If you got in trouble for fighting they sent you there to see if they could put your aggression to good use....we had taped up this and sewn up that and the place smelled like ass. I miss that place

i'm not complainingaboutthe equiptment

i'm sayin taht its $40 to be in the amature boxing fed for competition.

and that PAL is a free service to the public

Why am i being told to pay if its free?
