Then again, my family lineage includes high ranked police officials, decorated war veterans and careermen... oh, how confused I am. A lot of endurance and trial come from this. That sums up a lot of my experience in life succinctly.

I didn't walk the same road everyone else did. I still don't. However, I believe that although my road is longer, it will take me farther, and those who are around when it comes to it's end will be better for having seen it, been down it with me (if only for a short time), and will prosper similarly to how I will because of it.

I believe I will achieve whatever I put my mind to. Some probably think I'm crazy for thinking this. **** all of them. Violently & one by one, even.

I have a sister and a step brother. My foster brother killed himself in February. My father's been dead since I was 13. My mother will join him if she doesn't shape up shortly. My stepfather will be all I have left at that point.

I have a daughter who just turned 2 in May. I love her to death. Once I found out my ex ( / her mother) started doing meth, I immediately put the chips into play to have my mother care for her until my career substantiates all financial requirements for my own independent care of my little girl. I'm lucky to have a family like I have. We've all been down a hard path together, and we love each other no less for it.

Have a Math degree from Adrian (Mich.) College and am 2 semesters away from my M.Arch from University of Michigan. I had aspirations to be a fighter much like most of you. Humbly I wasnt very good yet. All went away after a car accident broke my back in 2000. Finally after a few years of struggling, can lift weights moderately and run. Hate the fact that on some days I have to use a cane. Married to my wife for 6 years. Wouldn't give up a single day with her. She is currently very ill with Lymphoma. We beat it once and we will again. She is much tougher than I am. I work as a research assistant at UofM Cancer Center trying to beat cancer even though I'm seeing that there is no money to be made from finding a cure so there probably will never be one. I work here because I have a Chemistry minor and they pay for my school. I also supplement my income by teaching Algebra classes at the local community colleges. Would like to post more and get to know you guys but duties take me away from fun. Also am very pissed that Detroit finally got a Jim Rome tour stop and they have it on the day of my 10 year high school reunion. Wife is making me go. Bull****, it is fun as ****. Very hard sport, thats another reason people don't like it. You go out and golf, discuss taking over the world, drink, and have a hot ***** carry your bags. You can even find some good spots to bone on a golf course, like a golf cart. I love going out with a bunch of buddies and golfing very fun.

i'm a dirtball. plain and simple.

i like rock n' roll, beer, integrity, beautiful smiles, and fun times. snowboarding fast and closing an awesome sale rule too. the best of my memories are with of the best of my friends and the closest of my family having fun.

i wander around the mortgage business and dabble in the clothing business too. for now i love real estate though so the clothing line is on hold.
real estate is the only place where a drug dealer could turn himself legit within a matter of months while enhancing the same business skills to make even MORE money and salvage the remaining friends they have. but money is not the main reason i love this business.

i remember being 14 years old, strung out on speed, cheeva, and whatever else....and setting trash cans on fire in the middle of the campus as a highschool freshman for the sheer **** OF IT. i remember loving to get caught and laughing. i loved getting under authorities skin and hearing them lose their noodle. one time a cop told me that i would become america's worst failure. now i love to prove them wrong.
i love to shame people with college educations and mock people in offices that derive their bitterness from watching a young ****er succeed where they've still been striving in life in a fraction of the time. i guess it's just fun to break traditions. i believe that rules were made to break....the only thing constant in your life are the changes that you are forced to experience. i realize that i will see these changes too.

It's not ironic because you are successful. I am religious myself but, I need to let God back in my life.

when i was 18 i was a truck driver for a printing company. i walked into over 20 different businesses everyday and saw how people were kickin ass. i knew who i was......an $8/hr. employee who knew how to sell weed pretty good. but i also knew that it wouldn't get me anywhere fast.

I'm Mike, a late bloomer who is still learning about myself, people, and society, at age 45. I got a late start on these things due to a bad home life that had me wondering if I would live to see 20. I had just learned to forgive my parents a few years ago, but then found out that they have been closely connected with organized crime my whole life. They put my wife and I in a very bad situation with the violent son of a mobster who lived next door, and now I have to try and forgive them for that, too. I never believed the Mafia had control of very much before then, but I've seen them do things most people wouldn't believe. It's hard to avoid sounding like I'm a crazy conspiracy theorist to strangers on the internet, but I feel it's a duty to try to help people see the sickness in our society. We'll never change it if we don't see it. I'll never stop trying.

I've been an ******* most of my life, but have turned it around pretty well. I've got new priorities now, and I like myself finally. When I get down about not having done enough for my loved ones or my community, I just remind myself that I didn't think I'd ever have half of what I do now. I'll never make up for all the lost time, but I try to do what I can.

I'm real friendly and encouraging to everyone I meet, and like teaching more than anything else I've done.

I have come to like animals more than most people, and have known 2 very special dogs (out of about 20 I've known) that were better people than any person could be.

I still smoke cigarettes, the only stupid thing I still do. It'll probably kill me, but I don't seem to care yet.

I am a warrior

My name is Jake. As of today I am 25. I am a Network Abuse Engineer for a major ISP. That's meant to sound really impressive dealing with hackers and stuff but realistically the bulk of my job is searching logs and warning lusers that their computers are infected with a worm or virus and smacking them upside the skull with a clue-by-four. Career wise, I want to either move into IT Security, which is looking pretty damn good at the moment if I keep my job here and keep at it or make video games and probably more risk involved in getting into the industry and probably not make as much money. I really don't know what I want to do, I just want to make enough money to support our lifestyles and love what I do and not wind up working for someone else in 15 years.

I am married to a beautiful wife and we're struggling to save up and get our own place. I am struggling a lot though with the move and all. My story is definately not like most people's. Not that I would change it really but it is a lot of my plate.

Lately I've been depressed (perhaps clinically I don't know - hoping to get that determined in the not so distant future) and homesick and struggling to overcome all that. When I am motivated enough, I like to train in weights and MMA. I guess in a lot of ways I have a lot in common with Zen. I'm not after attention, I just want to be happy. I also think I could be a great fighter if I devoted myself to it, but like him, it is not a priority.

I really enjoy the simple things in life - movies, books, music and computer games. I like roleplaying games largely for two reasons - a bit of escapism and two, the social aspect of hanging out with friends. Very few hobbies allow you to combine both like that , which is why it's probably my favorite hobby.

I used to drive my kids crazy because I don't know what a stranger is, I can talk to people in line anywhere & feel like I've known them forever. They are used to it now, lol.

I love power tools, I love making things, I even built bunkbeds that my kids still laugh about, only because the wood I used was "big", & I had to build them in the room, should have seen me when I had to take them apart, because only 1 bed was wanted in there after the older brothers left...... sheesh.

I discovered MMA because of my son. I never thought I would love it like I do. If I hadn't, I wouldn't have met the great people I have. :)

To start off with, I am a friend of Momita's and she introduced me to this sport. I am not as gung ho in it as mostly everyone else on here simply because my kids aren't into it. I live for my kids at the moment. I do what they enjoy with little time for myself. But they will take the time to watch Jeremy Jackson fight.

I've gotten the opportunity to travel quite a bit, all before I was 18. I would like to travel more extensively once my kids are grown and gone. Speaking of which, I have three kids, one hubby, one father, one dog, one cat, and two birds and myself under one roof. That does not include all the extra kids that migrate to my home and call me mom....I love it! I am a seamstress for whatever group my children have joined and I love it. I also love making clothes and gifts for their friends as well as mine. My speciality is dresses. I would like to become a designer one day. My hobbies include beading, crafting of any sort and my roses. (although neglected as of late) Sewing is my one great love and it keeps me sane. It is my destresser.

I am like Momita, although on a less intense level...lol. I am not a quiet person, although I have mellowed a bit. I can talk to strangers like I've known them all my life. I guess that comes from moving so much. You become a wallflower or you talk too much. I've been accused of the latter many times....lol

I am a loyal friend unless stabbed in the back. I am fairly open-minded and will listen to others' opinions. I respect others and their opinions even if I don't agree. I complain alot about things that I cannot control, but I also try to share my joys and accomplishments to offset the complaints. I have suffered from depression since I was nine and was medicated for five years. I have recently come off my meds (slowly) and feel better for it. I still go up and down with my emotions and have trouble dealing with them on certain days, but I feel more in control off the meds. I am liking myself, faults and all.

I have been abused, attacked and hated. I no longer associate with those that are still like that and have moved on. I feel that I am a stronger person because of it and it has made me a good mom. I hope one day to be able to completely forgive those who hurt me.

My life is my hubby, my kids and my animals. I would not trade it for the world. Not one minute.
