The Chris John's defense of the WBA featherweight title, scheduled against Australian challenger Jackson Asiku on April 27, is now off. John's bout was set to be the co-feature to Danny Green's defense of the WBA light heavyweight title against Hugo Hernan Garay.

Last Monday, Green announced his immediate retirement from boxing and as a result the event promoters are probably going to cancel the entire show.

"I returned to Indonesia on Friday. I don't know about the next plan because everything is handled by my management," Chris John told the Antara news agency. "I will be staying (in Indonesia) until further notice from (trainer) Craig Christian. I don't know when or where my next bout will be held."
