View Full Version : To the point of exhaustion, I ****ing train.

It's been 4 days. 3 of those days, my ass was at the gym. I would've gone 4 for 4, but the academy isn't open on Sundays.

I sit here in front of my PC at work. This is the second day this week I've been here... for a change, it actually feels that way. 2 toes on my left foot are twisted, sprained or otherwise ****ed. My left hand still is not fully healed, and I've decided to train my striking anyway. My knuckle looks like it's gonna heal with this weird bump where I cracked it. Sweet. Chicks dig war-torn hands. My neck hurts. I have a cut behind my ear. And even with all the asses I kick, I'm still all marked up in my face. Glove grazes, mat burns, etc. Some new kid rolled with me last night, and almost triangled me within a minute. I broke it and ended up choking him out when I feinted him into giving me his back from the side. Own3d. He's damn good though... like a black semmy schilt with mad grappling ability.

My legs also hurt. I'm training mad strength and endurance for the first month of my training for this fight. In my final stretch, it will be mostly technique and fight training.

Saturday's turnout was sick, as always. Tong won't be joining us this week, just as Blake was not joining us last week... but everyone else is expected to be there with their ****kickers strapped on and the desire to drop bombs. We train for ****ing knockouts. Everyone be there this week. We will drop mad bombs, work standup, do drills, and maybe even do some of Bas Rutten's workout.

I think I sweat out 5 pounds last night. I did a cardio warm up, ran a mile, hit my bag for about 25 min, and then ended it with some weight training. I hit my chest hard as **** my whole body was pooring out sweat. Soloflex rules!!

Of all the people we train with, I'm almost positive I have some of the better cardio of the group. I don't think i've ever tapped from exhaustion or physically needed to stop because of being winded before. I work hard to maintain what cardio i have.

I was circut training and It made me dizzy as a mother****er. I felt like pukeing. I have not trained like that in a long while

I asoa in the tub after hard workouts, it reduces lactic acid build up and soothes the muscles. It's a great secret-weapon-type relaxation activity that will really go the distance where it's supposed to. Muhammed Ali used to say that the most important part of his workout was his rest. He was right, ya know.

this is true. i've been resting for 3 months and i've been ****ing up my friends in the living room floor everytime we roll.
