Anyone here know what his workout regime is? The guy's stamina and power always leaves me amazed. I figured this is the best place to ask this question.

I hear he sits in a chair whilst numerous coaches and trainers hit him the face with a cricket bat in preparation for what he must experience in the bout!

Sorry, Sorry! Couldn't help it. I'm not taking the piss anyway, Katsidis is a wicked fighter.

The showing of that bout is on British tv tonight (it's delayed a week for some ****ing reason). So i'm gunna get to view it later. I'll still be cheering on for Mick, despite knowing the outcome already.

Well, i've just seen the fight.

Katsidis is definitely worth money to go see. In Britain we have Jonny Nelson (former Cruiserweight British no.1) in the commentary box - and no kidding - he went ****ing mental with Katsidis's corner at one point. Something like "THEY NEED TO TELL HIM SOMETHING! THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT FIGHT OF HIS CAREER AND THEY'RE AREN'T TELLING HIM A THING!" It was quite a valid point as Katsidis's face is pissing blood from 18 different directions.

I'd watch a rematch, for definate.

Right on Brendan Smith is shit house at reading a fight and giving instructions to Katsidis, probably cost him the fight.

I actually can't wait to see this guy fight again.
very exciting fighter to watch, like David Haye, and kelly pavlik.
Guys with power are always the ones that make boxing so exciting.

His training is very rugged. In the mornings he runs run 10-12 kms then he will push a car for 4x3 minute rounds. He hits a tractor tyre with a sledge hammer for 6x3 minute rounds, walks around with a weelbarrow full of rock, and adds in heavy bag work. Since going to America he has changed some of hs training in the morning. In the afternoon he does 30 minutes of skipping (jump rope), alot of focus pad and heavy bag work. Also he does mad push ups and sit ups. There are also some other stuff that is in his training but I don't want to let to much out. He is mad to training with.

Tell him he rocks and did us proud and should get back in there as soon as he can.

He did more for Aussie Boxing in one night than what Mundine has done his whole Career.

That's the fight that will win fight of the year. Kats will knock Diaz out. Kats looked like a different fighter against Casamayor. Not the same as Amonsot.

AGREED.

Whole heartedly, i agree with that statement. I remember watching him against Amonsat and of cause, being extrememly entertained but thinking he Katsidis looked kinda awkward in his stance, the way he moved, and especially the way he threw his hooks. I thought this might be just his "style" and forgot about it.

When watching the Casamayor bout, he was still the same old pressure fighter, yet he was alot more slicker - alot more like the finished article.

-Katsidis- how's his face? Is he ever scared that to much scar tissue around his eyes are gonna **** him up? I bet he looks a right mess right now!

the two fights most people have seen were against southpaws.. i think he's going to be even more impressive against an orthodox guy like juan

Ult,

I second that opinion. I think he needs a new trainer who will teach him to utilize his jab more. I hope he's fighting again soon, preferably against Diaz, and with very wishful thinking, in Chicago. That would give me a hard on not even Viagra could compete with.

I have passed on all your messages to Kats. He has told me Brendon and Golden Boy are ready to finalise his next fight. 2 opponents listed are j diaz and Chavez. Kats is exited and can't wait will be eith July or Sept. He is back in training running swimming and light sparring. He dosen't care who he fights next would love to fight Campbell but because he is with Don King there may be some complications. Once is oppenent is pick he will start focusing on that Diaz has said he would rather Kats then Casamayor next. So hope that is enough of an update. I was to put this up on Friday last week but have been busy training myself.
