After watching his recent fights, mostly Herring, Rampage and Dirty Bob

i cant see where this man has a future in MMA at the top level

he is a great striker, we all know that and have known for years but he seems to be getting mounted very easily these days

admittadly the Herring fight could of gone anyway but he didnt look over impressive in it

people can mention the fact that he has trimmed down but Rampage was a LHW and totally owned Vov

i cant see how his ground skills cn of improved enough to see him making any sort of impact at all

hes prob good for a win or two against fighters of Yvels calibre, but i think he will be found wanting at the highest level!

i think he would be great at 205 in pride. if he can't win there maybe ufc will give him a shot..i don't think he could beat randy or tito though.

i dont see how stripping down a few pounds would enable him to beat Rampage

Silva would get my nod over him as well

i don't think the weight difference would matter, he would just have to change his gameplan if he wanted to beat him.

i'm like 99% sure rampage weighed more than igor did when they fought.

yeah

fighters will always strip down the weigh in day but the fact is, Igor has dne nothing in his last 4 fights that suggests he would be any kind of force in the LHW division IMO

and with the subsequent downfall of Herring, that fight is looking less and less impressive for Vov

I think Vov will KO Silva.

I think Vov will be back, The Bob Schrijber fight showed that he has great striking since I kicked some ass standing in that fight, and believe me, Bob schrijber is one of the best strikers in MMA! on the ground you shouldn't look at that fight cause the ground rules are not compareble to pride. We will have to see how his next fight in Pride goes before we write him off.
