Attached to this post is a copy of all the rules governing the matchups we will be engaged in on 8/9/03. All fighters are expected to review & fully understand these rules, as they are to be adhered to at all times. I don't want anyone getting DQ'ed for bull****. I want these fights to be the firestarters of the evening... and I'm about to explain why.

I spoke with Sensei Mark Parra at length this weekend about production & matchups for the fight night on August 9th, and he is pleased with everything I've presented to him thus far. He is allowing me to match up the opponents in the Pancrase fights as I see fit this time around. He wants to see competition, entertainment and impact... all of which I believe can be achieved via the card and matchups we have now. The 5 Pancrase bout / 15 Kickboxing bout card will be distributed evenly throughout the night. I'm pushing for the Pancrase fights to occupy some of the later slots on the card, as I believe these will be the most exciting fights of the evening.

The fights presented on this sheet are final. Alternates are not listed, and will be added to the card (which is subject to change at any time) on a need-to basis.

The event will be held in Van Nuys, CA, on August 9th, 2003, at the House of Champions Academy of Martial Arts. Expected capacity will seat about 600 people (450 seated, 150 standing-room only). I expect this to be one of the biggest crowds of any House Of Champions Fight Night in the relatively short, yet solid history of such an event. Concessions will be available throughout the night, and preliminary fights will begin early evening (around 5 or 6pm).

The night before let's all meet at HOC and beat the **** out of each other. Then get way wasted so we are prepped for our fights :)

All I meant to say was... now that I know you, I like you much, much more.

If you can find a ride down next weekend, by all means, bring it. We're gonna be training like this throughout the rest of June.

I can try. As it is, my hip still ****nig killing me, so I'm probably gonna' go get it checked on to make sure nothing's wrong.

However, since I already had plans for this weekend (my grandfather's retirement party), even if I do need to rest up a bit, at least it won't be getting in way of anymore training then it already has.

We should all go together and train a couple of days before the fight... I personally will be going into seclusion 3 days before my fight, in order to condition myself mentally for the task of taking a 300 lber in the ring.

Since the Pancrase fights have potential to be the longest of the night, we've elected to go with the exhibitionary 5 fights. They were easiest to put together, and we don't want to jump right in with the approach. We're taking it as gradually as we can with HOC and Mark... we want to introduce this to him and show him the possibilities, not put it in his face and piss him off. :ghost:
