View Full Version : Chat with Pro Boxers
warp1432 03-26-2008, 11:52 PM Why doesn't Boxingscene ever get chats like Btalk with pro boxers? I mean tonight Winky Wright was on Btalk chatting with everyone and last night apperently Roy Jones was on there.
How come we don't get stuff like this? When we merge with Maxboxing is it possible? Would we have to pay for it?
mickeyb 03-27-2008, 12:16 AM That sounds like a wicked idea. If Floyd comes on, i'll swear at him and call him a dick.
"DON'T YOU EVER HURT RICKY AGAIN YOU BASTARD!!! :(!!"
In seriousness though... this sounds like a cool idea.
mgkirkpatrick 03-27-2008, 12:29 AM agreed. that would be wicked as ****. except it probably wouldnt work in here unless only certain people were allowed to speak.
if winky was in here we'd have a thousand cunts asking if he thought he was owned by hopkins
warp1432 03-27-2008, 12:47 AM Well in Btalk one person asked him "Why are you so boring"
That'd be pretty disrpectful to me actually. Then again I'd reailze I'd be making 3 million dollars and then laugh at them.
jberg 03-29-2008, 09:55 PM id quite like to talk to my british hero (hatton) or anyone successful in boxing for that matter
warp1432 03-30-2008, 02:11 AM Well I was looking at the "Ivan Calderon fans" thread and in the similar threads there was a "Ivan Calderon chat on Maxboxing"
Was that a live chat or just an interview? Now that we merged with them, could we get it? Would we have to pay?
majestiC 04-04-2008, 06:07 AM I wanna talk to Tye Fields

MaxBoxing never makes their chats Members Only. It is part of the message board that gets promoted on the front page. It is free to any member of the message board at Max (which is also free)
Last chat at Max was Juan Manuel Marquez.
For the most part the chats are done through telephone with a transcriber writing down the answers to the questions from the fans. If there is time left in the chat session we will ask the guest if they would like to talk to a fan via three way call.
Hope that answers your questions

I just saw on another board that some of the btalk interviews and chats are fake. The old btalk webmaster posted screeners of emails from greg leon that show him creating interviews with fighters. The fighters give him permission to create these interviews and chats to keep their names out there. :tapedshut
warp1432 04-09-2008, 06:15 PM No the questions asked are way to indepth to by fake. Winky said he would retire soon and if Winky really did have no intentions of retiring I'd be pissed.
If that's the admin, he needs an oscar asap.

I saw the info he saw as well. What he meant was the person being the focus of the chat is not really Winky or whoever is the focus. Instead it's either the site owner, the manager, adviser, etc.

I asked alot of guys if they would come on and chat, they want no part of it. Mostly because of guys like this, somebody will do it...............Rockin':boxing:

Are they on the phone atleast when the admin is doing it? Because if not, that guy deserves a ****ing medal for acting.
