explain to me what mIRC is kind sir.

its like an OG (original gansta (not "gangster" mind you, but gangsta) - meaning a forefather (like precursor) to chat clients like ICQ and AIM) chatting program thats been around forever.

Basically you d/l the program, choose a screen name and you can choose from literally hundreds of thousands of chatrooms where people congregate to chat about...I dunno, stuff.

In a lot of these rooms (conspicuously named things like "warez-****-mp3s") you can actually use commands to browse files servers that share virtually anything.

Basically its like a hybrid of Kazaa and AIM, but much more manual, meaning that there is no real search function and you have to know where to look to find some good ****.

Mr. Satan, I'd say it is better in some respects, imo Kazaa, Direct Connect and mIRC all have something to offer, which is the reason I use all of them.

4 gigs of stuff in your folder at all times, while Kazaa, you don't have to have ****.

no, you don't need to share anything at all, thats the great thing about it, you go on and leech-o-rama.

I love MIRC. Kinda of a pain to use but damn you get soem good ****.
