so does that mean it wont be on setanta. i thought setanta had the rights

Main Event are a ****ing Joke, when will Fox air a live Boxing Match from Outside Australia on FOX SPORTS 1, 2 or 3.

Im going to sign up to Sentanta at the start of April for $14.95 to see the fight and then turn it off, a Saving of $35.

I could understand if it was an Aussie fighter, but Calzaghe-Hopkins as PPV in Australia is a little odd. You're getting your pants pulled down there.

The USA is a completely different TV market to Australia. There are over 70 million cable/satellite TV homes in the US compared to a bit over 1 million here. Apart from anything else, this makes the economies of scale completely different.



This is what makes it possible for some events to be broadcast on ‘basic cable’ channels in the US (not free to air channels), that we can only afford to show here as PPV events.



The alternative is not to show them at all and at Main Event, we try to offer boxing fans as many fights as we can and offer you the choice of what to watch. Main Event is a pay-per-view channel.

No I don't say how **** boxing is you tool. I do say the state of Local boxing is up the **** and we have a handful of over hyped fighters and Danny Green was one of them.

And I hope your not going to tell me that Hopkins is an Exciting fighter.

I love boxing, I didn't once complain about the Katsidis fight, I couldn't have been happier with Michaels efforts, he did his country proud, fighting his heart out and taking it to the line and leaving nothing left behind.

I agree, Winky is a boring fighter as well, a lot of people on here love him, but **** he knows how to put you to sleep. At least Taylors been KO'd and that makes him fun to watch.

Taylors technique is ****. But have to agree, the way he wobbles his head, and throws those long loopy left and right hooks, makes him fun to watch.

Winky has been like that for some time now. I was laughing at the build up to the hopkins fight, the video said he was "an entertainment machine". ****.
