I watched ressurection of the champ a few days ago and i made me sad for bob satterfield is it true he was homeless?

If you watch the movie again, and read the real article (google 'resurrecting the champ original article la times) you should see that Bob Satterfield died of cancer.

The bum was a guy by the name of Tommy Harrison, also a heavyweight at that time, not quite as good, who fought under Bobs name in non boxing towns, to get bigger paychecks, and actually get fights.

Tommy Harrison then pretended to be Bob Satterfield for the rest of his life (is pretending right now?) on the streets and tell tales. He wanted to be the man, and this is his way of getting some attention.
